I opened Casita's front door for Camilo and let him get through. When I walked into Casita myself, I nearly bumped into someone who was carrying a bunch of food on platters.

"Oh, oh my goodness" I exclaimed after backing up a bit "I am so sorry, did you drop anything?"

The person let out a laugh.

"No worries, dear" the person replied "I didn't drop anything."

They walked towards one of the tables which were now set up on the side. There were other platters on those tables, each filled with a different type of food. To the side of the tables, I saw that Casita was holding some hats on the wall. The hats probably belonged to the people that had come over to help set up.

The house looked so busy, bustling to the brim with people, each doing their job. In the middle of it all was Mirabel. She was busy telling Casita how to make the stairs look. I watched as the stairs contorted.

"Aaaand...Perfect!" Mirabel exclaimed "Gracias, Casita!"

Isabella swung down from the second floor on some vines that she made appear. The vines gently set her down right next to Mirabel.

"So, I already put flowers on the pillars and all around Casita" Isabella said "Is there anywhere else that needs an extra splash of colour?"

"Ummm, yeah, actually" Mirabel said "Could you put some flowers along the stair railings?"

"Fine, but not for you" Isabella said "I'm doing this for Marcos and the rest of the L/ns, not because you asked me to."

Isabella then moved her arms and purple and pink flowers grew across the railings of the stairs. Once she was done, she clapped her hands together and sighed.

"There!" Isabella said "I'd add a cactus or two for some variety but that's not safe."

"Yes, not safe at all!" Mirabel exclaimed "Do. Not."

"I won't!" Isabella replied "Jeez..."

Isabella walked away. I noticed that I had lost sight of Camilo. Oh well, I would find him later on anyway. I walked up to Mirabel and put a hand on her shoulder.

"So, how's everything going?" I asked.

"Oh, everything is going pretty well actually!" Mirabel answered, cheerfully "Casita looks great, everything is running smoothly, Tia Pepa hasn't had any outbursts, Marcos isn't acting too nervous or anything and-"

"I meant with you, Mirabel" I said, interrupting her.

"Oh" Mirabel said, blinking at me dumbly "Well, actually...It's been sort of stressful! It's my first time ever hosting any sort of party or ceremony and I know that this is like...A super important moment in Marcos' life so I'm just hoping that everything goes well! Y'know?"

I gave Mirabel a soft smile.

"Well, just know that..." I began "You're doing great! Under your management, everything will definitely go well!"

"Thanks, Y/n" Mirabel said, putting her hand over the hand that I had on her shoulder "But...What about June?"

I felt my eyes widened for a moment.

"I'm not worried about that" I said "June's father has made it clear that June won't be coming and even if she tried, I'm sure we're all capable of stopping her."

MIrabel nodded at me.

"Alright, I need to go put these clothes away" I said, holding up the bag with the clothes inside "I'll see you later?"

"See you!" Mirabel replied, happily.

I walked upstairs, lightly touching the flowers that Isabella had put on the railings. I made it to my room and opened the door. I unfolded the clothes that were in the bag and carefully laid them on my bed so that I could change into it after I washed my face.

I waved my hand and the room turned into a functional bathroom. I finished washing my face in the sink. Then I heard a knock on my door. I waved my hand again and the room went back to normal. Then I went to open the door to see Camilo staring at me.

"Y/n!" Camilo exclaimed cheerfully.

"Hola, Cami" I replied "Did you need anything?"

"Um...No, just checking on you!" Camilo said "I mean, you could say I'm sort of paranoid about June and stuff..."

I gave Camilo a soft smile.

"Don't worry about that Camilo, June was probably bluffing anyway" I said "And if she does try anything, I have my family and the Madrigals by my side! We can surely handle her."

Camilo let out a sigh of relief.

"Yeah, that...That helps, thank you" Camilo said.

I felt a smirk tugging at my lips.

"Why? Were you worried about me, Cami?" I asked, teasingly.

Camilo looked away for a bit before forcing himself to make eye contact with me.

"Well, yeah! Of course I was! Everyone is" Camilo answered "I just want to make sure that you're safe!"

I felt my heart flutter at that.

"I'm sure I can protect myself, Cami," I said.

"I know! I just think it would be safer if you had..." Camilo said "Like a bodyguard or...something..."

"A bodyguard?" I asked "And if I were to have a bodyguard, who would it be?"

Camilo fiddled with the hem of his ruana.

"Well, I thought that maybeee..." Camilo replied "Maybe it would be me?"

I smiled brightly at him.

"Aww! Just admit you want to stay by my side the entire night, Cami" I teased.

Camilo's eyes widened and he turned away from me. His ears and cheeks were noticeably redder.

"Well, fine! If you don't want me to, then I won't" Camilo said, sourly.

I laughed, which caught him off guard.

"I'm just joking, Cami" I said "I would love to have you as a bodyguard for tonight."

Camilo's eyes lit up.

"Great! I'll start now, then!" Camilo said, stepping into my room.

"Cami, I was just about to change," I said.

Camilo froze before slowly stepping out of my room. He shut the door without a word. After I processed what had just happened, I couldn't help but laugh.
