(The morning of graduation)

I woke up extra early so I could discreetly grab the files.

Today's the day...the day my life officially goes to shit.

Even more, than it already has.

I've made my decision and nothing's gonna stop me.

I quickly get dressed, grab the files, and begin driving to the police station.

I feel my hands begin to shake and my breathing growing uneven

Fuck.

I pull into the station and walk in.

"Asher! How are you son?" Sheriff Wilson asks.

"I'm good sir! I actually need to talk to you about something." I say.

He looks at me wearily before eyeing all the folders in my hands.

He nods and tells me to follow him.

We walk into his office and he shuts the door,

"What's up?" He asks.

"I uh- I'm turning evidence in," I say.

His eyebrows immediately shoot up.

I pass over all the folders to him.

He sets down his mug of coffee before opening up the first folder.

His eyes go wide as he reads through each of the folders.

I even hear him let out a couple of gasps.

I sit there awkwardly for the next 30 minutes as he reads through everything.

"So basically...your father is a fraud." He says.

"Pretty much." I shrug.

"Okay, well thank you, Asher. We'll make sure to get a warrant for his arrest." He says.

"Uh, actually there's one more," I say.

He pauses before sitting down again.

I passed him the last folder.

The folder of what he did to my mom.

He takes his time reading through everything.

The letter, the bank statements, the texts, and the picture,

"Jesus...Asher, I can't imagine how much this must have hurt you." He says.

"You have no idea," I mumble.

"Well, now we definitely have enough evidence to put him behind bars." He says.

"I did something, bad deputy." I blurt.

"Asher did you-"

"No! no I didn't kill him," I reassure.

He lets out a sigh of relief.
