"If I play do I get one of those cool t-shirts?" Max asked in fake excitement. Adira was basically dying in silent laughter behind Dustin as she watched the encounter

Adira, Dustin and Mike had spent ages looking for someone else to play at hellfire, but they weren't having any luck

Dustin believed he had finally found someone to play and began to laugh loudly in excitement in happiness, "Yes!"

"Really!" Max exclaims in fake excitement, Adira was now snorting in laughter from behind Dustin, not being able to believe how he couldn't pick up on the fact that she was being sarcastic

"Of course! everyone gets a T-shirt. We make 'em ourselves, and if you..." finally, thanks to all of the facial expressions that Max was giving him, Dustin was able to realise that she was infact being sarcastic, "youre being sarcastic?"

Max just grinned and then chucked her board down onto the ground and went to ride away from him, "bye Addy!" she called out as she left

"See ya Max!" Adira called out to her

"Are you being sarcastic?" Dustin asked her once more, just to make sure but she was already gone and he already had his answer, "she was being sarcastic."

Adira pat him on the shoulder with a wide grin on her face, "yep."

--------------

Max, Dustin and Adira all sat on the benches outside of school, the three of them giving up on finding someone to play the game. "I hate high school," Mike panted out in exhaustion

Dustin just groaned in agreement as the three of them sat there, exhausted from all of the running around and talking that they had been doing... well Adira didn't do much talking, she just stood behind the boys and laughed at the reactions that they got

Adira suddenly noticed Chrissy waving her over. Adira hesitated for a moment before turning to the boys, "Ill just play tonight alright, I'll see you guys there I gotta go!" She said to them quickly

"wait, are you being serious? Youre gonna play?" Dustin asked her excitedly

"I guess so," she said to him and noticed that Chrissy was becoming more and more anxious as she waved her over, "I really gotta go guys, Ill see you tonight. When and where?"

"Eddies house at 7!" Mike and Dustin both exclaimed excitedly, finally they had someone to play the game with them, and even better than that, it was Adira, "Thanks Addy, youre the best!"

"I know right," Adira called back to them playfully and then ran off away from the boys and over to Chrissy who looked like she had just seen a ghost

"Hey Chris, whats up?" Adira asked in worry as she approached the girl. Chrissy grabbed Adira by the wrist softly and looked around suspiciously before pulling Adira close to her and away from the people.

Adira raised her eyebrow in surprise, looking between Chrissy and the people around them, what the hell was going on and why the hell was Chrissy acting this way? She had been acting off for the past couple of days and Adira just wanted to make her friend feel better but she didn't know what she could do to help her

"Can you do something for me?" Chrissy asked softly and Adira just nodded her head softly in confusion, "you know I wouldn't ask you if it wasn't important and youre pretty much the only person in this school that I can trust." He hands were shaking and her skin was more pale that usual. Adira noticed the bits of sweat dripping down the side of her face and the fact that some of her hair had been disheleved, her first thought would have been that her and her boyfriend had gotten up to you know what in the bathroom if she hadn't seen the fear written all over her face.

"yeah of course, what is it? Are you okay? Did Jason do something?" she asked Chrissy quickly, worried that something was wrong with her friend. She was acting weirdly and she had been doing so for the last few days

"Jason didn't do anything, I promise. And yeah I um... I was just wondering if you could come with me to see Eddie Munson," Chrissy whispered to her, and this only seemed to confuse Adira even more than she was already. Adira wasn't sure that she had heard her right at first, or maybe Chrissy was just messing with her, but the look on her face and her sudden silence was what told Adira that the girl before her was being dead serious right now.

"Eddie Munson? Why are you meeting Eddie Munson?" Adira asked and Chrissy fell silent, it only took a few moments for Adira to piece it together and her eyes widened in shock, her jaw practically hitting the floor as it dropped open. "holy shit Chris, you are gonna buy drugs," Adira whispered in shock, looking around to make sure that nobody was listening, "is this because of those nightmares you have been having?"

Chrissy nodded her head softly and avoided making eye contact with Adira for a moment before forcing herself to look up at her, her eyes swirling with desperation.

"Chris, I told you that you could stay at my house for a sleepover and we could just stay up all night watching movies, or we could sleep and if you had a nightmare then I would be there to help out," Adira explained to her, feeling bad for her friend. Adira had had nightmares every night since she watched Billy die so she knew how Chrissy was feeling right now.

The sound of his voice would reverberate through her mind constantly through the day, guiding her through life as if he were right there beside her, but the nightmares she was forced to go through every night were a constant reminder of everything that she had lost.

"Its worse now. I think that Im going out of my mind Ads, Im..." she hesitated for a moment before deciding that she could trust her, "I've been having hallucinations, about my mum, and this monster thing... I don't know whats happening to me, but I think that I am completely losing my mind," she whispered out

"So you are telling me... you want drugs, to stop hallucinations?" Adira asked her sceptically but Chrissy just nodded her head. Adira let out a small sigh before nodding her head, "fuck it, why not. You're one of my best friends Chris, I'm always gonna be here for you. Lets go before your asshole boyfriend starts to look for you," she muttered and Chrissy threw her arms around Adira and hugged her tightly

"Thanks Ads, you've always been here for me, I don't know what I would do without you," she said and then pulled away from the hug. The two girls looked around one last time to make sure that nobody was watching them and then they made their way to the back of the school where they were make their way around the border of the school and then out into the woods where they would meet Eddie Munson.

They mainly walked in silence, a few words were brought up occasionally but that was about it. Adira just couldnt believe that Chrissy was about to buy drugs. Chrissy. The girl who would never even think about doing drugs, got full marks in all her classes and was captain of the cheer team.
