"You all think that im crazy right?" Eddie asked them all once he had finished explaining everything to them. He hated this, he wish he could take it all back, he wished he hadn't met Chrissy and Adira out in the woods and then invited Chrissy into his house to get the drugs. All of this was crazy, he knew that he sounded crazy and he was sure that if Adira hadn't thought he was crazy before, she would have thought that he was bat shit crazy now.

"No Eddie, we don't think that you're crazy at all," Dustin said to Eddie in a calm and soothing voice, he wanted Eddie to believe him and what he was saying, he wanted Eddie to know that they believed him

"Look don't bullshit me, man! I know how this sounds!" Eddie exclaimed angrily as he threw his arms around in frustration. He didn't want Adira here, he didn't want her to see him like this.

"Hey Eddie, we aren't bull shitting you okay? We believe you, we believe everything that you are saying," Adira told him calmly, reaching out and resting her hand against his arm. He visibly calmed down and stared at the girl, tears in his eyes, "look Eddie... Dustin is going to explain everything to you, okay, and then you might... understand it all a bit more," Adira choked out to him, nodding her head softly before turning her attention over to Dustin.

Eddie forced himself to look away from Adira and instead look over at Dustin who began to speak, "Look, Eddie, what I am about to tell you might be a little difficult to take..." Dustin was thinking of the best way to word it, the best way that he could tell Eddie about everything they knew

Eddie looked at Adira, as if looking for confirmation. She nodded her head and gestured for him to continue and that it was all going to be alright. He hesitated before nodding his head, "okay..." Eddie muttered out, looking over at Dustin

"You know how people say that Hawkins is... cursed?" Dustin says, quoting all of the news that they had been reading about recently. It were as if every page of every news paper in Hawkins had some conspiracy on it, talking about how their town was cursed or haunted, "well... they arent really... way off."

"Thats the understatement of the year," Adira muttered out. Robin was staring at the girls arm which was placed on the sleeve of Eddie's denium jacket. She began to anxiously pick at her nails as he forced herself to look away from Adira and over at Dustin and Eddie

"There is another world. A world, hidden beneath Hawkins. Sometimes it bleeds into our world," Dustin tried to explain it in the least complicated way as possible. Eddie was already in so much shock, they weren't sure how much he was going to be able to handle or if he was going to be able to handle it at all

"Like ghosts and shit?" Eddie asked in confusion

"Kinda yeah... emphasis on the shit part though," Adira muttered out from beside Eddie. The cuts and blisters on her legs from the rocks on the ground outside were starting to sting more and more as she stood there in the cold boat house. The water in the middle was sending waves of coolness through the room, causing goosebumps to raise on Adira's skin

"There are some things," Maxine spoke up, nodding her head softly as she took a few steps forwards towards Eddie and Adira, "things that are worse than ghosts..." Adira and Maxine shared a sad look, both of them instantly thinking about the monster they had fought last summer... the one that had left them both completely shattered

"These monsters from the other world... we thought that they were gone. But they have come back before, and that is why we needed to find you," Dustin explained to Eddie. Adira glared softly over at Dustin who had made it seem like they weren't there to help him at all and they were only there to hep themselves and gain knowledge on what had happend

"And to make sure that you are okay," Adira quickly and sincerely added, giving Dustin a look

"If they are back again, we need to know," Maxine told Eddie. She was feeling desperate, she had to know if things from the upside-down were back, she had to know if the thing that had killed her brother was back... was there a possibility they didn't get rid of it all?

"When it happened last night, did you see anything?" Robin asked Eddie. All of them were using calm and quiet voices, none of them wanting to scare or upset Eddie, but it was hard to tell if any of them were really getting through to him. He stayed silent, trying to think of what they were talking about, he was trying to remember if anything else had happened, maybe before Chrissy was killed, but nothing was coming to mind

"Dark particles maybe?" Adira asked Eddie as she tugged his jacket sleeve softly, bringing him back to reality. Eddie just shook his head, he couldn't remember seeing any dark particles, but then again he was kind of focused on the girl that was levitating in front of him while her bones snapped over and over again by some kind of invisible force before her eyes got sucked into her head

"It would almost look like dust, swirling dust," Dustin added, trying to jog Eddie's memory so that they could get a better idea of what they were now dealing with. Anything that he could remember from the night before besides Chrissy's death could be crucial in telling them if they were dealing from something from the upside-down or not

"No man, there was nothing you could see or, uh... or touch" Eddie whispered out and now he turned all of his attention to Adira, "You know I tried to wake her Adira, I swear it. But she couldn't move. It was like she, she was in a trance or something," Eddie explained to them, he knew that Chrissy was Adira's best friend and how much she would have been hurting right now

"Or like a spell?" Dustin suddenly spoke up, thinking back to their game so that he could come up with a logical answer that could describe all of this madness. Eddie suddenly realised what he was hinting at and turned his head to look at the younger boy, nodding his head softly

"or a curse," Eddie muttered out. Adira rolled her eyes, she couldn't believe that they were acting like this was some kind of fucking game. Some fantasy game with made-up characters that they play as they sit around the table and can just restart when things go to shit. But there was no re-starting, Chrissy was gone and there was nothing that was going to change that.

"Vecna's curse," Dustin finalised as he and Eddie shared a look. Adira looked between the two with furrowed eyebrows and parted lips

"Who is Venca?" Steve asked them in confusion, having absolutely no idea what they were talking about, and not liking the fact that he didn't know something that the two of them knew.

"An undead creature of great power," Dustin explained, not looking away from Eddie and Adira as the three of them figured out how much shit they were in now. Adira knew that they were right, the monster that they were comparing whatever they were dealing with right now, was an accurate comparison.

"A spell caster," Adira muttered out, looking between Eddie and Dustin, her heart sunk into her chest at the mere thought of it. Eddie nodded his head, goosebumps were now on all of their skin as they thought about it. It was like a strong wind had suddenly picked up and was rolling through the shed as they shivered

"A dark wizard," Eddie added, raising the awareness of how bad this monster was that they were sure to be dealing with. And at that moment, they knew that they were indeed dealing with something from the upside down, and something that was possibly worse than anything else that they had ever faced before.
