"MS. IRENE, saang hotel po ba tayo?" Samantha hesitantly asked her professor. She was impatient for the duration of their rough ride and she wanted to be separated from Irene.
On the other hand, Irene shrugged her shoulder. "Kung saan malapit."
Samantha saw that Irene took out her phone, fiddling with something or as if she was looking for an app on her phone.
She couldn't help but be nervous about what Irene was doing, for the reason that her professor was on her cellphone while driving. Even though it was against on her mind and will to intervene, but it was the only way to get rid of her nervousness and avoid the accident.
She quickly grabbed Irene's phone to her professor's hand and her eyes saw that her professor was surprised by what she did.
"Hey! What are you doing, give me back my phone!" Iritadong usal ni Irene pilit kinukuha ang phone niya sa kamay ng estudyante niya, ngunit si Samantha naman itong pilit nilalayo sa kan'ya.
"Ano ba! Wala ka bang phone para kunin 'yang sa akin?!"
"Ms. Irene kung gusto niyo ho magpakamatay, 'wag niyo ako idamay! Marami pa po akong pangarap sa buhay ko kaya 'wag niyo muna balakin ngayon."
She delivered her says seriously to Irene while holding her professor's phone causing Irene to pondered by her student's actions and couldn't understand what she was saying.
"Are you insane? I was looking for a nearby hotel on the map para sa atin, tapos basta basta mo na lang kinuha." Irene retorted na naging sanhi ng pagkamot batok ni Samantha sa hiya.
"S-sorry po, akala ko po kasi nagce-cellphone lang kayo habang nagmamaneho. Natakot lang po ako kasi maulan baka hindi niyo makita ang dinadaanan habang nagce-cellphone.." Napatigil na lamang si Irene sa pag-agaw ng kanyang phone.
"Cellphone niyo po oh," Samantha returned the cellphone, but Irene didn't take it. "M-miss, cellphone niyo po binabalik ko na,"
"Just open the google map and look for a nearby hotel for us," Irene ordered to her.
"P–po?"
"Tama ka, hindi dapat ako nagp-phone habang nagmamaneho. Ikaw na lang ang magcheck ng hotel for us."
Samantha just nodded in response, but deep inside her feelings of joy were intense. Because Irene understood her for the first time.
She opened Irene's phone, pero nakita niya na nakalock ito at may password, that's why she decided to give para buksan ang phone.
Hindi niya tinanong ang password ng phone, dahil ayaw niya naman mang-invade or makielam sa privacy ng isang tao pagdating sa simpleng gamit.
"341," Irene simply uttered the password of her phone, instead na kunin ang phone kay Samantha at siya na mismo ang magbukas.
Sinubukan ni Samantha i-type ang code na iyon, ngunit nagtaka siya nang hindi ito gumana.
"Ms. Irene, sure po ba kayo na 'yun ang password? Error po kasi eh,"
"No," Irene's short replied at what Samantha utter, nagtaka naman ang babae at tinanong ulit kung ano ang password.
