Zestier Pt. I

Virion Leywin (Clone 1)

I was sitting in my room, taking in the fact that I know knew, I could live forever, I don't know if clones age, but I can absorb mana, why didn't I think of this, if I can manipulate it, of course I can absorb it.

This was a breakthrough, I was heading to Zestier today, the horde heading towards the wall should be about two weeks out. Arthur left a little early, well, the horde arrives earlier I think, they say two weeks, but Arthur is on the Wall confessing his love to Tess and then sees the horde behind her, and states something like it is early.

I had a clone at the Wall, I should have it come out of hiding, I'm sure it can help Arthur in battle, yeah, that is a good idea. I don't know why I was thinking of hiding it still, there is no point, I was bringing other clones to Zestier, but I might as well leave one there to help.

I was at full capacity at the moment, I knew Elder Virion wanted to see me off, luckily, all I had to do was step through a teleportation gate too get to Zestier, I didn't have to fly. I am also going to have to trick my parents into thinking I am the real Veer.

At least I know they won't be involved in the fight, the other Twin Horns members will be, but I can't think of a reason to get them away from the field. I don't even know how many soldiers we will have, I was not told yet, even the clones there don't know. At the current moment, we have a hundred soldiers in the forest, and another hundred in Zestier for protection, which meant we only had two hundred.

I stood up from my bed, walking out of my room, looking like I usually did, still having long hair, but that was only because I didn't feel the need to cut my hair since I was a clone. I felt the approach of someone, and they knocked on the door right before I got there.

I opened the door to see Elder Virion, it appeared he wanted to walk me to the portal, which I thought was funny. "Virion, are you ready?" He asked me, and I nodded my head stepping out into the hallway. "Are you sure there is a force heading towards Zestier?"

"Yeah." I answered as we started to walk to the portal. "I don't know the number of soldiers, but there is a force." They have not been sighted yet, I also haven't felt them, but it didn't matter, I knew they were coming within two weeks, of course, I played a part in them finding Zestier.

"Well, you know that I already agreed with your plan, I like it, your plans haven't disappointed me yet." Elder Virion rubbed his chin as we walked slowly. "Cynthia has been sick, the curse is gone, but she was too ill to see you, I'm sorry you didn't get to see her."

"It's fine, I'll see her again at some point." I told him, I was a little disappointed, but it was okay. "You know, I'm a little surprise that you are agreeing with this plan, I would have done it either way, but it will cost Zestier."

"If there truly is a force heading there, all we can do it demolish their numbers." Elder Virion said. "I'm afraid the best choice would be to move all our remaining soldiers to Etistin, Zestier would be a lost cause, there would be no point in defending it."

"Now, why is that?" I asked him, and he looked disappointed in himself.

"I want nothing more than to defend Zestier, however, it being so close to the Beast Glades, I am afraid that strategically, protecting Zestier over other places further away would be the wrong move. That is why Etistin is the best spot for a final fight if needed, which now, it feels like it is inevitable." I nodded, knowing he was right. "But you see what I am saying, if we defend Zestier with a lot of troops, and they end up dying, we will have no hope of victory in future battles."

"Yeah, I understand, that is why you have me there, my plan could kill them all, you know, right?" I asked him, looking into the old elf's eyes. "And I also understand that besides the Elshire Forest, Zestier isn't built to be defendable, yes it has walls, but they are easily accessible."
