Arthur Leywin

I reached into my core, allowing for more of the Beast Will to take over, entering my phase three, making me stronger and stronger, but making this fight shorter and shorter. I felt the power in me shift, increase rapidly, and as I faced Cadell, Dragoth, and Nico, I could see their eyes widen just a little by the increase in my abilities.

"Puny." Dragoth hissed, and that was when Sylvie shot at him, mid way, transforming back into a dragon, knowing that was the only way to match his large size. I had no clue if Sylvie could take Dragoth, I didn't know, but like the clone of Veer said, she didn't have to win, just buy time.

'Be careful, Arthur, if you get to a point though, where you are dying, you know what I'll have to do.' Sylvie thought to me, knowing what happens when I go into my third phase. Nico and Cadell just stared at me while a fight stormed on behind them.

"Is the mighty Arthur Leywin going to be able to survive this one without his little brother?" Cadell asked me, conjuring a black sword with soulfire surrounding it. "There is no protection anymore, Lesser, the only thing you are going to be receiving is death."

I shot at the two, knowing I couldn't take both on, but what was I to do, activated "Static Void" appeared behind Cadell, swung my sword at him as fast as I could, but it bounced off his own, and then a black spike grew at my core, forcing me to quickly dodge it.

I parried a blow from Cadell, dodged a spike, went towards Nico, but soulfire branched out, and blocked the path, keeping with Cadell, not allowing me to get through and get to Nico. I spun back towards Cadell, bringing my sword to his head, but he back stepped the attack, and my sword went past him.

Cadell reached up with his free hand and went to grab my wrist but didn't manage to in time as I activated "Static Void" to get out of the situation, and appeared five yards away from him. I conjured a ball of fire and launched it at him, and as I did that, I activated "Static Void" once again, feeling the effects it was having on my body, but ignoring them.

I swung my blade at Nico head, he just managed to get out of the way, and then countless black spikes jutted out of the ground at my body, and I quickly pushed wind mana to my side, allowing me to easily dodge the attack, and then dodge a swing of Cadell's sword which came from behind me.

I could hear the fighting of the battle of Etistin going on, I had no idea if we were winning or getting our asses handed to us, all I know, is right now, I am facing a Scythe and my best friend from my other world, and I stood no chance.

Where are you Veer? I thought you would be here, but all you did was send your clone.

I dodged a spike, a sword, activated "Static Void" and moved out of the way of another storm of spikes, most likely they both tried to hit me with one. I slid on the ground, facing the two as I left my spell, held my sword at my side, and I could see Cadell smirking at me, his red eyes telling me he knows I can't win.

I felt my stomach start to hurt, and that was when I coughed up more and more blood, I spit it onto the ground, it tasted like hot metal, but I didn't care. I wiped my face, and then felt a message from Sylvie. 'Arthur, I can't keep this up, he isn't even trying, but he is just tossing me around like it is nothing, and I can feel your body falling apart, we need to get out of here.'

'How?' I asked, not knowing how we could escape the wraith of two Scythes and Nico, swung my blade at an approaching Cadell, and then in a instance I was sent flying backwards by a kick to the ribs, causing more and more blood to leave my body as I spit more out.

I landed on the ground, could see the black mots of mana forming under me, quickly rolled away, got to my feet, and listened to Sylvie. 'The medallion Veer gave you, remember, he told us in the novel, you use it to create a portal using aether, that is how we escape.'
