Virion Leywin"Well, I see the portal." Fenyir pointed in front of us, about ten platforms deep sat the next one, I'm like pretty sure all I have to do is fly over to it, I don't think we need to go platform to platform. "Looks like we have to go through each platform."
"I mean." I said, catching her attention as I started to float up into the air, I flew about two feet above the platform, looking at her. "You think I can just fly us across; it can't be that serious, right?" She tilted her head, examining the situation, not knowing if it was possible or not, but there was only one way to find out.
I started to fly towards the first platform and as I entered it, a force field appeared around it, leaving an opening by the stairs, so Fenyir could enter it as well. "Looks like you can just fly across." She said as she followed me, joining me on the first platform, I flew down beside her, landing there, conjuring a black void sword in my right hand, assuming that an enemy was going to appear.
"No shit." I said to Fenyir, and she just squinted at me, that was when at the end of the first platform, three mana beast appeared, they were bears, smaller version of Boo, they had brown fur. "Ehh, how annoying." I waved my hand, and three black spikes entered their throats, killing them, which also lowered the shield over the first platform, allowing us to go to the next one.
"What's the point in the sword?" Fenyir asked me, looking from my eyes to the blade in my hand, and I shrugged. "You always conjure a sword in your hand, but yet, you never use it."
"I would say it's more out of habit now." I told her, dispersing the sword, knowing I wasn't going to use it now like she said. "I don't always need it, but when I am fighting stronger foes, I usually need a weapon in my hand to take them down." She nodded her head as we started toward the second platform. "I can let you handle this next platform if you want?"
"No, it's all you." She said with a smile on her face, and I smirked as I looked forward, entering the second platform, four more mana beast appeared, but as I went to conjure black spikes into their chests, nothing happened, it was like that ability was gone, it was a weird feeling.
"Fine." I said, I merely chose a different ability, I conjured an ice sword under their chest, and impaled them, killing the mana beast, and allowing us to move on to the next platform. "Hmm." I made a noise as the two of us walked on to the next platform, I see what is going on, I think, it doesn't matter though.
"What?" Fenyir looked at me, trying to figure out why I had just made that noise. "Are you alright?" I nodded my head, not really replying to her as we go to the third platform, the force field appeared, and I attempted to use ice magic, but couldn't as two large hairy gorillas with flames on their backs started to roar.
"Kill them." I told Fenyir, her eyes widened in surprise. "What? I want to see what you can do." I shrugged, and I watched as the wind attacked the gorillas, they started pounding the ground as they ran at use, deflecting Fenyir's spells to the ground.
"I can't." She said in defeat, and I conjured eight small, water bullets in front of me, released them at the gorillas, watched as they pierced their throats, and they fell over dead. The platform's shield disappeared, and we started to the fourth platform. "Remember, the zones adapt to the strongest person, these beasts are more on your level."
"They aren't even close." I shrugged, entering the fourth platform, conjuring bolts of lightning on my arms, watching as wolves appeared, they had ice covering their mane, they looked pretty badass, but they quickly broke into pieces as the bolts of electricity hit them. "Alright, well, it appears that if I use an element in one zone, I can't use it in the next one."
