(One Day Later)

Tessia Eralith

I was sitting in the house we were staying at by myself, I had been crying over everything that had happened. Arthur's disappearance, Veer's sudden appearance as he collapsed, Sylvie's death, and the fact that this war was over.

I had missed the last battle and the battle for Zestier because Veer told me I had to, he said things about me being a Legacy, I mean, he tried explaining everything, and I didn't want to believe it, but I don't know how he would make something like that up.

He said that if he killed a clone of me, and made Agrona think that I was dead, that things would change for the better. I don't exactly know what that means, but I took his word, he did tell me that we were going to lose the war.

I didn't want to think that way, but he also said, if I didn't do this, that I wouldn't be here for the rebellion, which I wanted to be. I miss Arthur, that is another thing I am sorry about, Veer told me I had to lie to him, well, not lie, just not come out of hiding and talk to him. I want to be with him so bad, we are finally together as a couple, and now he is in Alacrya doing who knows what.

I don't even know if he is safe there, of course, Veer says he is, but how would he know? Sylvie was dead, how does he know Arthur is able to think straight over there, it was his bond, a bond born in Zestier with me there, I watched her grow, I can't even process Sylvie's death right now.

"Knock. Knock." Someone was at my front door, and feeling for their mana signature, I could tell they were on my same level, so it could only be one of two people, Lance Bairon or Lance Aya. "Princess Tessia, may I enter." I heard Aya's voice call out and I stood up and faced the door.

"Yes." I said, and the door to the house opened, and Lance Aya came walking in, she wasn't wearing her normal white clothes, she had on a tight black long sleeve, was wearing tight black pants that had golden armor plates on them in different places, and she also had her hair tied up. "You look different."

"I was coming from the Leywin house, I went to see if Veer was up, but unfortunately, he was still out cold." Lance Aya said as she stepped into the house and stood across from me. "I see you are already used to being in white core, Princess."

"Yes, I am." I responded with a weird smile on my face, knowing that the only reason I was in white core was because of Veer. "How was he? Is Veer going to be okay?" I asked, looking into the elven Lance's eyes.

"Of course." She said, nodding her head. "You know him, he fights whoever shows up, and doesn't care about the consequences after." I chuckled slightly, breaking the sorrowful atmosphere, she was right, every fight Veer is in, he either comes back in shambles or is fine.

"I wonder who he gets that from." It was the same thing with Arthur, the two of them are very much alike. "That's good to hear, I still can't believe he has the body of an Asura now though, he used his own magic to change his blood, I am still having trouble wrapping my head around that."

"Yeah." Lance Aya said, then went on. "I just want him to wake up, there is so much we need to talk about." I agree, we need him to continue forward, with his new strength, and mine, we can help the people under Vritra law.

"If he can, Veer will be the key to rebelling and saving this continent." I told Aya, but she thought otherwise, I could tell by her face. "What? You don't think so?" I asked her, and the Lance shrugged at me.

"It'll be up to his mother." She spoke. "I know she was mad at us for letting him go this far, which I understand, he is twelve, and I also know she was talking about removing him from fighting any longer."
