My Beginning After the End Downfall

Frog Zone Pt. I

Fenyir and I were walking through the trees, this room seemed to last forever, the mana beast around had just been ignoring us, which was fine by me, they were frogs, like come on, that's the first room.

'Hades, come on.' I sent a message to my bond inside of my body. 'Come out here, I am going to have you go and search for the portal as well.' I was also looking for a good place to build an aether core, this could be the best place for that.

Hades came out of my blood and appeared beside us, catching Fenyir a little off guard. "What me heading to the west?" He looked to west; we were heading south, I believe, I nodded my head. "Hey, I'm Hades, sorry I didn't introduce myself before."

"I was told you have an interesting bond, but I didn't figure it would be like this." She looked at the serpent with curiosity. "It's nice to meet you, Hades, my name is Fenyir." She gave him a smile, and I could feel the excitement building up in his mind, jeez, he is just like Regis.

"Nice to meet you, alright, I'll be heading off in this direction, I'll let you know if I find anything." Hades said as he started to slither off, his form changing from a small one to a larger serpent.

Fenyir turned to me, her blue eyes locking onto mine. "That thing is weird; it looks like it is made of blood." I nodded my head head, she was right, Hades was a strange weapon, or bond, I don't know anymore, I just say bond. "Let's keep going."

We started walking again, to my right was a small pond, I could feel mana beasts inside, well, the frogs most likely. "That's like the fifth pond we have come across, each one housing frogs inside of them." I turned to my left. "There's another." I exclaimed. "Jeez, how many ponds do they need here."

"The ponds probably have something to do with this zone." She said, I know they did, they housed the frogs, that was it. "I'm starting to get a bad feeling about what we might have to do, but for now, let's just keep going.

The smaller sized ones were in the pond, but I could feel the larger ones moving about, a couple were heading this way now with medium sized ones following them. "We will have company in about, I don't know, five minutes, a couple of fucking frogs are heading this way."

"Alright." I could feel mana moving around her, I was just walking carelessly still, this room sucked, if I wanted to walk all day, I would have stayed in Seris's mansion. "I think sooner or later we are going to have to check out the ponds, that's the eight one I have seen."

Fenyir pointed out another pond, and I nodded, agreeing, something was definitely up with them. 'When you come across a frog, try and kill it, I think the mana beast here use aether, well, some of them, we need to know what we are up against, but they are just frogs, so I am not expecting anything too serious.'

'Will do.' Hades thought back, I remember Arthur learning god step, and fighting other mana beast with aether abilities, so I am being cautious, like Fenyir suggested.

"What's that?" Fenyir pointed at some sort of stone house, there was no door, but it was a house, at least shaped like one.

"I don't know." I answered, I didn't sense anything inside, so I had no clue what it was. "Let's go check it out, I'm sure it is safe, I don't sense anything." She nodded her head, a fierce look to the women wearing a maid outfit as we approached the little stone building.

I motioned for her to let me go in first, so I stepped in front of her, then walked into the building, I sighed loudly as I took in the sight. "What is it?" She asked, looking at me from outside, I motioned for her to come in, knowing that everything was safe. "Oh, I see."

"They have to make it difficult for us." I swung my arms up in the air and started looking around, before us, was a teleportation portal, except there was no light to it, the device was powered off. "So, what, we have to turn it on?" I looked around, Fenyir did the same. "Where the hell is the switch?"
