My Beginning After the End Downfall

I stood there, by myself, on the balcony inside of my room, just taking in the sight of the forest outside of Seris's estate. I was thinking about the last time I was here, Seris told me that I had to hide my appearance so that no one would recognize me, but this time, she doesn't seem to care. My family and I haven't changed our appearance, only the clothes we have been wearing, given to us by Seris.

I was wearing a black battle robe, I had my cloak in my mana ring, it was nice being here, but it was slightly annoying. I felt nothing, there would be times when my emotions come out, however, most of the time I felt numb, emotionless, it wasn't by choice, it was just how I felt after Sylvie's death.

Hades was out there, fighting off mana beast, trying to get stronger so he can help me out more in fights. He has been helping, in Xyrus, even in Etistin, he killed a decent amount of people, shooting blood out of his body like bullets, and then absorbing more blood as he slithers over corpses bleed out.

We have been at Seris's estate for about two days, I have trained very little, whereas my sister has been in her glory. I pretty much had Seris's abilities down, and she was happy to train my sister, even though she wanted to bond with me, I could tell, Seris doesn't want to lose me as an ally.

I reached up and touched my horns, they were sticking up straight, not really curving back at all, kind of reminded me of devil horns to be honest, but they only stood about three inches out of my head. I turned away from the balcony and entered back into my room, sitting down on my bed, last night I was watching through one of my clone's eyes as they did experiments on Alacryans.

Sadly, the mind slave spell has yet to work, eventually it will, that's why I am here, I'm buying time, training, relaxing, planning, I was here to calm my nerves. To Seris, I was here so she could help change my mindset, that wasn't going to happen, she might make me feel better, but I will never let go of my anger towards the Vritras.

I could feel movement in the halls, it wasn't Seris or Ellie, they were training outside, it was Cylrit, he was at my door about to knock on it. I think my parents were sleeping still, I haven't felt them move at all this morning, Ellie was up early, she didn't need to sleep as much as everyone now, she was Vritra blooded now.

I made my way to the door before Cylrit knocked on it and swung it open. "What's up?" I asked the Retainer, his eyes locking on to mine in surprise, I stood there nonchalantly, waiting to see what he wanted.

"Scythe Seris wants me to spar with you." Cylrit said. "You aren't to use blood magic, only Decay mana arts." He told me, I did need to get stronger with those elements, but shadow spikes, I had complete control over those, mastering that was easy for me.

"Okay, let's go." I said, walking out of my room, and beside him as we headed to the battlefield where Ellie and Seris were. "You know you can't compete with me, right?" Cylrit turned to me, giving me a look, telling me to watch what I say. "Sorry, I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but is fighting only you really going to help me out?"

"I understand, but it's better than sitting in your room alone all day." Cylrit said. "You still need to get stronger, Seris and I can teach you how to better utilize your Vritra arts, just give us a chance."

"Oh, I will." I told him, giving me a head nod as I looked forward. "I was only asking, I want to spar, it's just, I kind of want to spar against both of you." If I did that with only Vritra arts, then it might be a little interesting, I was on a whole other level than them now when it came to speed.

"That will be the case on some days, but for now, I'm going to have to do." Cylrit said as we exited the mansion and Seris and my sister came into view. I watched as she shot a beam of energy out of her hand at Seris, then conjured a shield as Seris dodged the attack and swung a whip she had in her hand and had it extend into Ellie's shield, shattering it, and knocking Ellie to the ground.
