Virion LeywinFenyir and I stood there in a Sanctuary room, white pillars held it up as we decided on what we wanted to do. The other people we entered the portal with left the Relictombs as soon as we got here, they seemed a little off after everything, but I don't think it was because of me killing the skeleton alone, I think they were just in that room for a while.
We had only gotten through three rooms, and to be honest, I have learned nothing, and if what Hades said is true, that all it is trying to do is make me a better person, it's kind of pointless.
I get it, I need to open, I'm good with that now, but I am not opening up to random people, well, it doesn't matter. "What do you want to do?" Fenyir asked me as she sat down on a chair that was in the middle of the room. "I don't know how long it has been out there, but we only cleared three zones, I can't imagine it has been that long."
"I agree." I said, but then went on. "However, time works differently in each room, so it is hard to say." She nodded her head as I sat down right next to her, our sides touching as we thought about our next play. "I'd say let's keep going, but it's been kind of pointless so far, don't you think?"
"What?" She asked, tilting her head as she examined me beside her. "You don't just find relics lying around in here, Veer, you know that, right?" Oh, yeah, she doesn't know about god ruins, that's on me, I shouldn't have said it was pointless to be in here.
"Yeah, I know." I just played along. "But wouldn't it be cool if we found one at some point, at least I think so, a relic from the old mages, that sounds awesome." We both nodded our heads, I wouldn't mind finding a relic, I wouldn't, I could give it to Arthur, or even use it myself, I could use aether now.
"So, what, we going on?" She asked, and I nodded my head. "Alright then, let's just sit in here for a little though." Fenyir paused, leaning her head onto my shoulder, I looked at the top of her head in confusion, kind of annoyed, but I wasn't going to say anything. "I know you just fought the skeleton basically by yourself, but I am still tired."
I get it, if we really think about it, Arthur, Caera, and me, we were all asura blooded, vritra and dragon, so we didn't need to sleep as much, but Fenyir here, she was a human, her body runs out of energy a lot faster than ours, that's probably why they never slept that much in the Relictombs in the novel.
"What? Am I your personal pillow, Fenyir?" I asked her, putting my hands on her head, and while I was about push her off me, she rolled off my hands and onto my lap, her blue eyes looking up at me as her head laid on my lap. "Really?" I moved both hands to my side, looking down at her with an annoyed glare.
She was now sprawled out on the chair, laying across it, with her head on me. "What?" She asked with a confused tone. "I wanted to put my head on something, and I didn't feel like getting out a pillow." I just continued to stare at her, annoyed, but accepting, knowing that this was something a friend would do.
"How long does it take to pull out a pillow?" I asked, looking up into the air, smiling as I turned back down to her and said. "Oh yeah, maybe a second or two." I shook my head, then added. "Am I supposed to just sit here now and be your pillow? You do realize I can't sleep like this?"
"I do." She said, closing her eyes as she her head laid on my lap, I looked around the room sarcastically, seeing if anyone else saw what I did. "This is what a gentleman would do, I'm a lovely lady, you should be thanking me."
"I should thank you for placing your head on my lap, you see how I might not thank you for that, you know, because, well, I don't know." I actually didn't have a reason to be annoyed, I wasn't tired, and what else was I going to do here. "Fine, just go to sleep."
