I rubbed my eyes, wiping away the stray tears as I stood in the room with my family, we were in a circle. I woke up about an hour ago, I'll admit, I was a crybaby after I woke up, I was hit with all the emotions and the fact that Sylvie was dead. I felt, I felt, I don't know what I felt, I want to say nothing, I just felt nothing, like there was no point anymore.

All that mattered to me now was killing Agrona and everyone else in Alacrya that needed to die. My mother was giving me her worried expression, Ellie and my father doing the same, I could feel Hades inside of me, he was silent, I was rude to him during the fight, and I was not able to speak to him.

"Alright, I'll be back." I said, waving to my family, turning towards the door.

"What?!" My mother exclaimed, grabbing my arm. Ellie stepped in front of me as well, and I looked at them surprised. "You are not going to the council, Veer, you are done, no more fighting, no more being a Lance, you are done!" My mother told me.

I could see that Ellie agreed with her, which surprised me, I thought she would want to fight on as well. "Veer, your mother is right, you have done enough, you saved the Princess, you saved us all, you did great, you can stop fighting."

I shot them a look, not smiling, but just letting them know I understood, but didn't agree. "I'm not done." I said to them. "I know, I don't, I ---" I stuttered, not knowing what to say. "Listen, Arthur is Alacrya getting stronger, the war over here is over, I-I can't just sit here, I have things going on out there that I need to attend to, I understand you want me to stop, but I can't anymore."

"Why?!" She exclaimed, grabbing my shoulders. "Why can't you stop?! You are twelve, Veer, you might be the strongest person on the continent, but you need to stop!" I lifted my hands and grabbed my mother's wrist.

"Mom, I'm sane, I'm just hurting." I said, hearing the sorrow in my voice. "Sylvie is dead, I am going to kill them all." I removed her arms from my shoulders, and I could see from that statement, she didn't like it. "I am not going to just sit in here and let the people out there suffer, you know that, I will do what I must."

"Veer, you can rest now." My father said. "You don't need to start now, you can rest, stay calm, take in everything, take in Sylvie's death." Hearing that made me flinch a little, my mother went to caress my face, but I backed up into Ellie.

I turned to her; my sister was looking at me with a worried expression like them all. "Veer, mom and dad are right, allow others to step up, you have done enough, or at least you should settle for a little."

"Nope." I said, moving her to the side a little, and walking past her. "I'll be fine, look at me, I just fought two Scythes, broke something in my back, did some other things, and I am healed completely." I paused and then went on. "I understand you are worried about my mental state, and everything I have done gives you all the reason to do that, but know I will never stop fighting, fighting for your future, and mine."

"You don't have to is what we are saying." My mother said, and I shook my head. "Veer, I won't let you go back out there; you are done, I am putting my foot down." I stopped in the doorway, my family behind me. "I am not allowing you to leave any more, you are to stay here in the bunker until your brother comes back."

I looked to the ground, then looked over my shoulder at them. "Unfortunately, for you mom, you can't stop me." I said, feeling another tear roll down my right eye. "But I need your support still, if I don't have it, I'll be lost."

"You will always have my love, but you will not see me supporting you to go out there." My mother told me, and I nodded my head. "And I will do everything I can to make sure you don't go out there again, I already spoke with Commander Virion, and he agreed with me, so be ready for his words too."
