In the council room sat the Glayders, King and Queen Eralith, Princess Tessia, Commander Virion, Bairon, Varay, Cynthia Goodsky, Buhdn, and me, in the center, stood the boy has been doing everything him, Veer.

"Break it to us, Virion, how bad is it?" Commander Virion asked, looking at the boy in the center of the room, he usually was sitting with us, but he wanted to stand before us. "Don't leave out a single detail."

Virion was wearing his black cloak, his red eyes seemed to be taking in everything, trying to figure out how to tell us what he had to tell us, but we knew about everything pretty much already.

"Elenoir is gone." Virion said simply, then went on. "The Wall is gone." The room fell even more silent at those words. "It appears that in their demonstration of strength, they annihilated the Wall, and the entire Elven Kingdom, killing whoever was there, and burning it all to ash."

I felt my eyes watering, Queen Eralith covered her mouth in sadness, Tessia did the same, I tried to stay strong, but it was hard when King Eralith snapped. "They kill them all! Virion?" He nodded his head. "That's over a million dead! All for what?!"

"There is a lot more you all need to know." Veer said, looking around, getting ready to speak some more. "Over the past months, I have been building an underground city, it is hidden, and I have been housing survivors there."

"What?!" Commander Virion exclaimed. "How many? How many elves did you save? I know that is what you are about to say. How many did you save?!" Everyone turned to him, their eyes wide, not caring that he had this secret, because everyone knew Veer had secrets, but this was a huge question, Veer had saved some of the elves.

"I saved seventy five thousand." Everyone's eyes widened in both joy, but also remorse, knowing that there were a lot more that died, a lot more. "I couldn't save them all, I am so sorry, I tried, but I couldn't." Veer said with a sad tone of voice, it was Tess who got up and moved first, she walked over in silence to Veer.

"You did well, Veer." Princess Tessia hugged him, holding him within her arms as tears fell from her eyes. "You saved a lot, that is all we can ask for, but now, we have to focus on how we are going to handle everything." No one said a word as they hugged, Queen Eralith started crying a little, Commander Virion had on a strong face, but I could tell he was about to cry as well, and King Eralith was angry.

Veer pushed her away slowly, looking at her with a smile, I think it was a fake one. "Yes, I suppose we saved a lot." He nodded, then what he said next caught us all off guard. "Tess, you don't need to hide here anymore, it's safe for you to go out."

"What?!" Tess exclaimed. "Are you sure? I thought Agrona wanted both of us, is it truly safe for me to go out there?" Once again, everyone turned to Veer looking for answers, wondering what he meant.

"It is." Veer told her. "Agrona isn't going to be coming after you anymore, he will be getting what he wants soon enough." He held up a hand to Tessia, not letting her respond, then stepped up to the council. "In exchange for help, I handed myself over to the Alacryans, the Scythes and Wraiths that were in Elenoir helped me fight off the dragons for as long as they could to buy the elves time to escape."

"No!" Multiple people said, standing up out of their seats, me being one of them. "Virion, you didn't?" Commander Virion said, looking at the clone. "You didn't?" He said with a sorrowful tone, knowing what that meant.

"I did." The clone said, looking around, a smile on his face. "I had to find a way to buy more of the elves time to leave, without the help of the Scythes and Wraiths, the dragons would have torched the cities a lot faster." He looked at Commander Virion. "It's perfect for you."
