I was sitting down, the fights were still going on, but I haven't really been paying attention to them. Seris had food brought in here, and I was trying some of it, even if it was pointless, I was just curious. The fighting squares had dropped to two, so it was definitely getting closer to the end.

The kids fighting at the moment were merely throwing hands with one another, it was kind of weird, their movements were all so slow, but it was probably because of how far away I was from them.

"So, Virion, mind me asking you something about Grey?" Caera asked me out of the blue, and I looked from the fight, to my food, then to her, giving her a head nod. "What exactly was he like before the war?"

"Umm." That was a weird question, but I can see why she would be interested in something like that. "He wasn't cold like he is now, but he was still the strongest person at school, and everyone knew it. Arthur did whatever he had to when it came to our protection, same as me, but he wasn't closed off to the world like you know."

"So, the war really changed him." Stupid fucking statement, but I nodded my head at her. "I don't really know you quite well, Virion, but so far, you've been nothing like the stories I have heard." There was a reason for that, I was only crazy when it came to fighting, well, I guess that isn't true, I'm crazy sometimes in conversation.

"What stories have you heard about me?" I asked, curious to see if they were the same ones, I heard other Alacryans tell me, they usually are always somewhat the same. I loved listening to them though, they made me happy.

"My foster father told me a story about how some of our troops, the little that we sent over in the middle of the war were killed within days of arriving on the continent from a young boy with blood magic." That's not really a story, I killed a lot of men and women. "They said you single handedly showed up and killed five thousand soldiers."

"Probably." I answered, shrugging. "Caera, my kill count is like twenty that, maybe more, I've killed a lot of people by myself, a lot of Retainers, that's why I'm called the Devil." The fights were almost over, meaning the Retainer battles were going to be next. "Is that the only story you heard?"

"No, but they all involve you killing a lot of people, which is what you said." Caera nodded her head, thinking to herself. "I don't know if knowing all this makes me more afraid of you, or less because I know we are on the same side." She paused for a second, then went on as the fighting ended in the arena. "I know you aren't real, a clone, so I don't know what it's like to be around the real you, but you still give off a powerful aura even as a clone when you release it."

"Yeah, cause I'm strong, I bet I could beat you in a fight." I told her, knowing that I could. "Here we go." I changed the subject, point toward the field. "Finally, Retainer fights, this is what actually matters to me, besides Arthur." I stood up, making my way to the railing that overlooked the field. "I'll see ya."

Caera Denoir

Virion was standing against the railing as he got up, and while he spoke, his figure vanished away. "I'll see ya." I stood up immediately, not knowing where he went, rushing to the railing to see were.

Shit...

There were so many people, the crowd, everyone was sitting as they got ready for the next fights. I couldn't spot Virion, it would be close to impossible, so I turned around as the announcer in the middle of the arena spoke.

"Next up, the battles are only going to get a lot more serious." I could hear people cheering, but it settled down as the man kept going. "But before they happen, we have a nice surprise for you all." I got to the door, opened it, and standing outside was Cylrit, and when he turned to me, he gave me a confused expression. "We have Dicatheon soldiers from the war, set for execution before you all!"
