MY EYES FLUTTER open, adjusting to the light. Light streamed through gaps between the curtains. I don't remember drawing them. I also notice that my boxes had been brought into my room. I didn't bring them. Was it Diego?
I throw the duvet off me, and slip on my shoes. I walk out my room, and to the room opposite mine. Diego's. I peep inside but see the bed empty. I bite the inside of my cheek lightly and close the door. I walk to the living room, but it was also empty.
I'm about to turn away when I hear movement in the kitchen. It's followed by pots and pans falling. I run inside and see Diego frantically trying to catch some of the objects, but failing. When they all crash to the floor he groans and runs a hand through his hair.
"Need some help?" I ask him and his head snaps to the door.
"Sorry, I didn't want to wake you up," Diego apologises.
"I was already awake," I tell him.
I move into the kitchen and start to pick up the pots and pans. He did the same but moved at an awfully slow pace.
"You came into my room," I blurt out.
"Yeah, so?"
"Please don't. I don't care if we are getting married,I want my privacy. I could've moved the boxes myself," I hiss. He scoffs lightly.
"A thank you would've been nice. We both know you are too weak to carry those boxes filled with books," Diego snarls and I narrow my eyes.
"Did you just call me weak?" I question, crossing my arms over my chest.
"So you're weak and deaf," Diego chuckles to himself.
I groan and lunge at him. He catches my hand in mid air, just as it was about to hit his chest. His grip on my wrist was strong, so I didn't even try to pull away.
"Don't," He warns.
"Or what?" I sneer.
He pulls my body closer to his, and my breath hitches. It had been ages since I've been so close to a guy before, other than hugging Leon or Andres.
