FALLING SICK IS horrible.
Completely and utterly horrible.
Firstly, throwing up is disgusting. It's probably the most disgusting thing that I've done. My nose is blocked but nevertheless every thirty seconds I'm either sneezing or blowing my nose before discarding the tissue next to my bed on the floor.
It was that feeling that everything in your body was just weak, and even a tissue felt a little heavy. Not to mention the aching pain in my stomach and back. And the vomiting every few minutes. Every three or four minutes I've had to run to the bathroom and deposit everything. I was shocked after the first five times that there was still something coming out.
And that I wasn't unconscious.
"Can I come in yet?" Diego knocks on the door.
"No," I croak.
The last thing I wanted was for Diego to see me like this. A complete mess—a stinking mess. I smelt like vomit. My room smelt like it. My clothes probably had traces of it. He would never see me as anything other than vomit girl.
I shudder.
"But you're sick," Diego says.
"No shit," I say sarcastically.
I hear him groan. I hear him walk away and breathe a sigh of relief. Good, he's gone. Now I can die alone.
