Wow! This really is the end! Almost three years of writing and it is finally finished. There are 78 chapters! I can't believe that I actually wrote that many chapters.
This book means so much to me because it is a book that I am actually proud of. It is full length (it is well over 100 000 words) and the storyline was not my worst.
The last chapter was so difficult for me to write. It was actually frightening knowing that it was the end. I wanted it to be end of something like it is for me. Having it be the end of Dr Dufre just seemed to work so well. It symbolised Diego's growth and it mirrored mine because I have grown so much during the process of writing this book. It just fit and I am proud that I have finally put this book to rest with a suitable end.
I want to thank everybody who has read so much of this book. All of you who have kept up with my irregular schedule and don't complain when it takes two months to update. Your support means so much to me.
It is devastating to actually say goodbye to these characters. They've been a part of my life for so long and I love them so much. They were my most developed characters ever and I am so proud.

I am excited to finally put this book away. To finally say that it is completed. I can't believe I actually finished it.
I put in all of the extra character and story notes in the first afterword, so this is really just a farewell. I just wanted to express my gratitude.
