35 Maybe A Little Too Fast

"Thanks for the ride."I said removing my seatbelt.

"No problem. " Dylan answered.

We got out of the car and I headed towards my still parked car that I left this morning.

"Hey Angela." Dylan called.

"Yes?" I turned around.

"Would you come with me,on a vacation?"

"What?"

"A vacation,just you and me away from work and everybody."

"Why?"

"I think we should spend more time each other,alone,and the best way is to take a break."

"Oh umm this would be a good idea,I guess."

"So are you coming?"

"I really need to think about it."

"Fine,but don't take too long."

"Okay,anything else?"

"No."

"Bye then."

"Bye."

I drove back to the house. I vacation with the devil,doesn't seem as bad as it sounds. He has a point,we really should start spending more time together now that we are...a couple. Work and meeting Dylan in his house doesn't really seem like spending time together,a vacation is a good way to achieve this. But I have to tell Claire about this,first.

I arrived to the house and the gates opened.

"Claire!" I yelled as I closed the front door. "Adam!"

"AGH!" Adam came running towards me. "Angy save me!"

My first instinct was to grab Adam and ran with him outside the house. But then I saw my blonde,mature,grown-up friend, running after her child with a bed sheet worn as a cape and un underwear on her head that serves for,what appears, a mask and socks in both of her hands that are raised above her head.

"Waaaaa! You better run!" Claire said in a weird voice.

"What is going on?" I asked awkwardly,still holding Adam in my arm.

"That's the monster!" Adam yelled. "It's The Underwearer!" he later added dramatically.

"The what now?" I questioned.

"The Underwearer! We have to run!" he said.

I turned to Claire who gestured me to run as if to play along.

"Oh! Yes! The Underwearer! We have to run!" I exclaimed and ran upstairs with Adam.

"Run little creatures! Run!" the mother shouted from behind us.

I opened my bedroom door and closed it.

"We have to hide." I whispered to Adam.

He nodded and guided me to the closet and we hid in behind the clothes.

"Where are you my little creatures?" Claire said from outside the room. She opened the door and I heard her footsteps coming closer to where we were hiding.

"Gotcha!" she removed the clothes and uncovered our hiding place.

"No!" Adam and I both yelled.

Claire started tickling her son and he giggled as she did so.

"S-stop!" he said between laughs.

She was chuckling with him and then they both collapsed on the ground.

"Again! Again! Again!" Adam said excited.

"This monster needs some rest between chases," Claire answered. "We'll play later."

"Oh." Adam pouted.

"Come on now," Claire ruffled his hair. "Don't give me that face."

"Fine. But promise me that we'll buy icecream."

"Promise."

Adam left the room.

"Now," Claire turned to me. "Why didn't you have lunch with me."

"I umm was..." I trailed off.

"You were?"

"I was with Dylan." I said blushing.

A wide smile was spread on Claire's face.

"You were with who?"

"Don't you even dare." I said.

"Come on now! Tell me what happened!"

"Nothing we just talked."

"Just talked."

"Well maybe cuddled a little bit."

Claire's jaw almost hit the ground.

"He also asked me to go with him on a vacation so we can know each other more,because I kinda told him that I will give us chance."

So I basically thought Claire's mouth can't open any wider but surprisingly it did.

"Okay you can stop with the mouth cave thingy."

She returned to earth.

"So you're now official?"

"Yeah."

"And what are you going to with the vacation?"

"I think I'll go,I mean it is a good idea to know each other better and here is not the best place to do so."

"Oh."

"Oh what?"

"Like everything is happening so fast,I didn't expect that."

"And is it a good thing?"

"I don't know."

"I think it's for the best."

"Maybe. When are you planning to go anywhy?"

"We haven't really discussed the details,I told him that I need to think about it."

"Well this is good,like finally you're dating again and you're giving Dylan a chance."

"Yeah I guess."

"I think I'll go to check on Adam."

"Okay."

I was left alone with my thoughts everything is happening too fast but I think it's for the best.
