Hi, I'm Sami. I am a lesbian. I decided that in August of 2016. Before that, I was very confused about my sexuality and I did not know if I was bi or lez. I tried dating a boy and we didn't even last a month. He was horrible. I decided about a month later after out breakup that I wanted to be gay because I was happier when I was gay. At that time I had gone from gay, to bi, to gay. I had to be sure before I told any of my friends but I decided I was gay about an hour later.

I came out to myself in October 2016 and I have been happy. Somewhat. I have not really been happy recently but that's a different story.

I came out to my family in December of 2016. Why did I not come out to my family earlier? Well, I had heard all of these stories of people being kicked out of their homes for being gay and I did not want that to happen to me. Soon enough I came out to my family and they did accept me.
