Jade POV

"Ow!" I yelped in pain once Charlie took my heels off.
I know this is kinda weird to say but by looking at him now, he seems like he really knows what he's doing.

"So uhm, is it okay?" I questioned after a while.
Charlie slowly shook his head making my eyes widen.
"How bad is it?" I asked
"Well I wouldn't say it's that bad, but it's definitely not okay. I don't think you could still dance with that." He answered as he stood up.

I flashed a smile and laughed a bit.
"Really? You sounded like a doctor." I spoke while he sat next to me.
He gave a light smile and chuckled.
"Well that happened to me many times when I was a kid you know. I was playing football once, and I actually don't know how that happened. I was aiming for the ball but the next thing I remembered was that I landed on my face. That was pretty embarassing."
I laughed at what Charlie said.
"So you were a football player?" I questioned.
"Only at the park, I'm not really good at it. I used to play with my grandpa back then." He replied.
"Well I bet he's a better player than you!" I said jokingly.
"Yeah, he was." Charlie answered.

Perrie POV

After the whole Prom Queen drama, I rushed out of the crowd and I was immediately hugged by my bestfriends.
"That was wonderful Pez!" Leigh said.
"Thanks, well I just figured everybody else should hear it." I answered.
"I know, this whole bullying sucks, and were glad that you voiced it out. We're definitely proud of you!" Jesy exclaimed.
"Thanks again, but uhm I really wanna find Jade." I replied.
"Yeah you should, I think she went out." Leigh responded.

I passed down the hallways and in a few minutes I was finally out of the room.
It wasn't that late but the wind was already chilly. I glanced around hoping to find Jade with my arms crossed over my chest. I was about to dial Jade's number when all of a sudden, I heard someone talking and it wasn't that far away from me. I shoved my phone back into my clutch bag and carefully made my way.

The closer I get, the more it got clearer to me that it really was Jade, but obviously she wasn't alone. She's with Charlie.

I stopped on my tracks, I knew there was something wrong. I could sense it, but I don't know how I would approach her especially after the almost kiss that happened on the dance floor and with Charlie being here with her. I stood behind the pillar, hoping they wouldn't find out I was there. To be honest I was beyond jealous now that she seemed to be more comfortable hanging around with this Charlie guy.

Jade POV

"An ice pack will do, it doesn't look that bad, but it does hurt I know and take some rest." Charlie said after I asked him what I should do since he's had a lot of sprains during his childhood.
"Well thanks, that was really helpful." I replied.
" But if it worsens you can go see a doctor." Charlie added.
"Well yeah, but hopefully not." I nodded.
"Yeah I think you'll feel better soon." Charlie chuckled.

I was about to say something but then was cut off when Perrie appeared out of nowhere. Same like what Charlie did when I was here with Calum earlier. That's weird why does everybody keep doing that? I asked mentally.

"Why are you gonna go see a doctor?" Perrie spoke and both Charlie and I were startled to see her.
"P-Perrie?" I managed to speak.
Then she came right in front of me and then she kneeled down so we're at the same level.
"Are you sick?" Perrie asked then she placed her hand on my forehead, like she wants to know if I have a fever or something.
"Were you listening?" I asked then Charlie cleared his throat but Perrie didn't seem to care.
"Not until you tell me why you wanna go see a doctor." She replied instantly.
"How long have you been here?" I questioned.
"Are you feeling nauseous?" Perrie asked looking worried.
"Were you eavesdropping?" I asked as I took her hand off of my forehead
"I wouldn't ask if I was." She answered.
"Then how come you asked me why I'm gonna go see a doctor, so obviously you've been there for like minutes." I snapped.
"I just got here okay, and he was like yelling the doctor part so I heard it." She replied.

"So you were eavesdropping then?" I said once more with my arms crossed.
"Is there something you're not telling me Jade?" Perrie questioned, like she's on the verge of crying.
"What?! No! I'm totally fine Perrie, why would you even think of that?" I replied.
"Well then what is it?" Perrie asked again.
"I was just being me that's why I hurt myself and Charlie said if this worsens I should go see a doctor." I answered, and obviously she didn't get what I meant.
"What? What are you saying?" Perrie asked
and I couldn't help but find the whole situation funny. I don't know what happened, first I was mad at her, but now I just find her cute all of a sudden. Am I drunk or what?

Perrie POV

Charlie told her she should go see a doctor if it worsens just because she was being herself? Is that what this guy told her? I'm confused.
"Wait hold on, did this guy actually said that to you?" I asked Jade.
"Don't be mad. Well it was my fault I hurt myself, because you know I was being me." Jade said while nodding her head.
"That's rude, why would you say that to her?" I said while looking at Charlie who was unable to speak.
"You know what Jade, don't listen to him. There is no way you're gonna go see a doctor. Being yourself doesn't mean there's something wrong with you. There is nothing that a doctor could do because you're already perfect in any way." I answered while glaring at Charlie.

Suddenly, Jade started laughing like really hard, then was followed by Charlie.
"Uhh..what's wrong?" I asked but they didn't answer.
They just laughed harder. Did I say something? Did they find that funny?
Looking at Jade I couldn't help but laugh a bit with whatever she was laughing at and once again butterflies swarmed my stomach.

"You know what P-Perrie?" She said in between laughs " you look funny when you're confused."
Then I waited for her to come down from her high.

"What I meant with being me was that, being the clumsy me, that's why I tripped down the stairs and now I sprained my ankle!" Jade answered and now I get it.

"Oh!" I replied and then realization hit me that maybe she find what I said was kinda cheesy just because I wasn't able to understand what she meant.
"And no, I don't think seeing a doctor will be necessary." Jade exclaimed.
"Well if it does hurt for like days then maybe you should." I answered.
Then Jade shook her head.
"What are you talking about? I'm completely fine Perrie. This is just minor. Now where's my shoe?" She insisted.

"Oh here it is." Charlie spoke and handed it to Jade.
"Thanks Charlie, you're a lifesaver." She said with a sheepish smile then proceeded to putting the heels back on.
"Jade What are you doing?" I asked.
"What do you think? Prom's not over yet. And besides I don't want Charlie to waste all that coat and tie for just a sprained ankle." She replied.
"Jade, it's alright with me." Charlie said as Jade started standing up.
"But I don't think you can walk with that." Jade reasoned out, is she being stubborn? Or is it just a way for her to avoid talking to me.

Jade turned around and took a step forward, well she did it fine. But you never know, so I stood up.
"Charlie, let's go." She called.
Then I was right, the minute she took another step, she outbalanced.
Just like the ones that you see in the movies, I was quick to catch her with my arms and spun her around.
I was quite surprised with myself to be honest, how the heck did I managed to get all those reflexes?

Jade was shocked as well then we both realized that we were standing holding each other so tight with faces so close, and breaths mixing.
"H-how did you do that?" Jade asked stuttering.
"You know I'd catch you anytime you fall."
