Black Lives Matter

Black lives matter
Your life matter
We are all equal
Well tell me why your voice sounds louder than mine
Why you life matters more than mine
Why killing me is just nothing but a self defense

Why are you starting at me
Just looking at me like I am some kind of suspect
I thought we are all the same
Then why are they looking at you like you are perfect
but looking at me in a different aspect
We can all connect, we can save their lives.
Treating me like I am some kind of project
Black lives matter
  But why do I need hard work
Just to prove that I am worth living
You keep making me work
Wake up early in the morning just to protest
That the life you didn't give me deserves to stay
Why do I have to wear a shirt that say "black lives matter"
Just to show you that I want to live just as much as you do.

You want me to take a stand?
You want me to show my worth?
You want me to work till I break?
Why do I have to do all that just to live?
Why do you make me think "is my life really worth it?"
Why do you have to make it so obvious that I am different from you.
Why do I have to do so much to live?

Well I don't want to do all that
Take my life if you can create it
Because I am sick and tired
of looking around in the street to make sure I am safe
I am tired of being in hiding
It is time for my voice to me heard
For my wisper to turn to a scream
