We sit down and wait for Ray to wake up. Fortunately, a couple minutes later, he does.

"Excellent timing, Ray." Klaus says. "Very dramatic."

"What's happening to me?" He asks. I kneel next to him and try to calm him down.

"Stefan."

"Are any of you human? Your friend here, needs human blood. He needs to complete his transition to vampire, if he doesn't he'll die."

"Doesn't take much. Just a sample, anyone? A boyfriend? Girlfriend-"

"How about her." Someone shouted. They came up to the front and pointed to me.

"She's a shapeshifter with human blood right?" They ask. Klaus walks up to them and gets in their face.

"Nobody..touches her.." He growled. He turns to the blonde man from before.

"You." He rushes up and grabs his arm biting it.

The woman from before runs to go get him but Klaus grabs her and I hear something snap.

"It's the new order, Sweetheart." He says. I take a deep breath in.

"Wrong choice." I say.

He bites himself and feeds it to her before snapping her neck.

"Alright. Who's next?"

Stefan and Klaus fight while I watch Ray in confusion. He's shivering and breaking out in a cold sweat.

Somethings wrong.

I walk up and place my hand to his forehead. He looks at me with pleading eyes.

"Ray? What's wrong?" I ask. He continues to shake.

"I don't feel good." Is all he says.

"Let me help." I say. I stand and close my eyes.

Soon my body temperature drops and I start to shiver like Ray had a few minutes before. He looked at me while I experienced his symptoms.

"What's-"

The boys aren't paying attention.

"What's wrong with her." Ray says louder.

I drop to my knees and shiver harder, my teeth start to chatter. Every muscle in my body now aches. Ray, on the other hand, looks good as new.

Klaus looks at me and speeds to my side.

"N-n-nik. I'm c-c-cold. Ray. I-it's not w-w-working." I say. He drags his thumb under my eye and pulls it back revealing blood.

"You have to stop taking people's pain, love." He said. I shrugged. Than finally my connection with Ray was broken when he ran off.

I sighed in relief as the warmth of my body came back.

"Kiera, go with Stefan, make sure he doesn't leave or get himself killed." Klaus instructed. I nodded and grabbed onto Stefan as he sped us out to find Ray.

When we finally did Ray he was two seconds away from killing Damon.

Stefan and I exchanged an annoyed look before speeding over to him. I shoved my hand in Rays back and pulled out his heart.

Damon looked at me with shock as Rays body fell. I smirked before dropping the heart on the ground.

"Fancy meeting you here." He said. Stefan came up beside me.

"What part of "don't follow me anymore" don't you understand? Got lost in translation, Damon." Stefan said.

"Might want to take it up with your girlfriend. You don't want her chasing you, I'd stop with the late night phone calls." Damon said. I turned to Stefan and clenched my jaw before looking away.

This asshole is gonna get my stupid sister killed if he doesn't shape up. I thought.

"I didn't call her." Stefan said.

"Sure you did. She's not gone give up on you." Damon said.

"She has to."

"Because we're never coming back. Why don't you get her home. See if you could actually keep her there this time." I said. Damon looked at me and nodded.

We carried Ray back only to see the entire pack dead. I gasped and rushed over to Klaus.

"What the hell happened? Are you okay." I ask. I grab his arm and he only nods.

"They went rabid. Some of them I killed, others just...bled out. I'm the end, they're all dead."

Stefan walked over and brought me away from Klaus.

Klaus yelled out and threw his bottle on the ground. I yelped in surprise and Stefan stepped in front of me protectively.

"I did everything I was told! I should be able to turn them. I broke the curse. I killed a werewolf. I killed the vampire. I killed the doppelgänger."

But- I stopped my thoughts because I knew he could hear them. He looked up at us and smirked.

"You look like hell." He chuckled.

"Last I checked I'm dying, and you don't wanna heal me." Klaus looks at a dead Ray. I looked down at the ground sheepishly.

"I had to take him out. I didn't have a choice." I muttered.

" I failed you. I'm sorry." I watch as Stefan walks up to Klaus.

"Do what you have to do." He adds.

I look away and kneel down next to one of the bodies. It seemed to be a girl just my age. I felt bad for her. But Klaus had to do it.

"It appears you're the only comrade I have left." Klaus says to Stefan. I frown slightly.

Klaus looks at me.

Don't worry, love. You're family.

I smiled.

He gestures for me to take his hand and I rush over while we walk away.
