"I'm not answering that door anymore." Haley announced. I sighed and stood up.

"Josh. Come on, man. Get a life." I sigh opening the door. But the man I set my eyes on was not Josh.

It was-

"Marcel?" I ask in disbelief. He looks at me with wide eyes.

"Tiger? Is that you? Is that really you?" He laughs. I feel a tear slip in happiness and I embrace him in a hug.

"I heard a shifter was in town but- I didn't even know you were one." He said in my shoulder. I pulled back and smiled at him.

"I didn't know either until about a year ago." I shrug. He smiled and turns me around to examine me. When his eyes lay on my stomach he freezes.

"You're-"

"Pregnant yes." I chuckle. He smiled and rubs it.

"Boy or girl?" He asks. "Girl." I shrug.

He lets out a large laugh.

"Someone got the short end of the stick." He teases. I rolled my eyes playfully.

"Well, I better go. It's late. I just came here to look for someone. We need to meet up again okay?" He asks. I nod excitedly and hug him again before I see him walk off.

I sigh in happiness before walking out to the garden again. It must be my favorite place to think.

That's all I really could do here any-

...

I wake up to being set on a hard piece of wood. When my eyes finally adjust I realize that it's daytime and we're out in the bayou.

"Tyler??" I question. He turns around and nods. My heart clenches.

"What the hell are you doing? Why would you attack me? Where are we?!"I say angrily. He chuckles and walks closer.

" we are in the armpit of Louisiana." He only said. I scoffed and stood up.

"You ambushed me in my own backyard." I say in disbelief.

" it's not your backyard. It's Klaus's. You're shacked up in a mansion with that psycho, a long way from the girl I met in preschool." He said. I rolled my eyes.

"Tyler, I'm sorry." I explained.

" I've been roaming around the bayou asking questions. Let me tell you what I learned. The birthmark on Haley's shoulder means that she comes from a big shot family, some kind of royalty to the werewolves of this region, and right here, this is all that's left of them." He said.

I gulped and looked around sadly.

I'll have to tell Haley about this when I get back.

"There in the woods, hiding because they've been persecuted for decades by vampires." He said.

A man came up from behind me and I gulped in fear.

"Is that her?" He asks.

"Yeah, Dwayne. Get her inside." The man pulls me away.

"Tyler! Please don't do this." I beg.

Dwayne pulls me inside and locks me to a metal heater. Couple of minutes later Tyler walks in and began pulling out something from his bag.

"Whatever you think you're doing, you know that whole original family has made some sort of pact or something to keep me and the baby safe. So if you hurt me, they'll kill you." I say. He turns to me with a chuckle.
