Klaus clinks his fork to his glass to get everyone at the tables attention.

So far, Haley and Elijah bonded since they were stuck in the cabin because Klaus bit him. We had found out Rebekah has been having a secret fling with Marcel and they led Klaus into a trap thinking they'd be able to bury him alive.

My happy ass stayed home for all of this.

"I would like to make a toast, to our shared immortality. After 1000 years, one would expect for life to be less keenly felt." He started. " for its beauties and sorrows to be diminished with time. But as vampires, we feel more deeply than any human could ever imagine." He gestures for the waiters to come forward.

In front of me is a healthy piece of turkey with some salad. But since Vampires only drink blood, their plates were empty until the waiters slit their wrists and held them over.

"Insatiable need, exquisite pain, our victories, and our defeats. To my city, my home again. May the blood never cease to flow."

"And the party never end." Marcel added holding his glass up.

" I understand that some of you may have questions regarding the recent change in leader ship, and I invited you here tonight to assure you that you are not defeated. No. My intentions for moving forward are to celebrate what we have, what Marcel, in fact, took and built. Into this..community of vampires."

"What about her." One of Marcel's men said pointing at me with disgust. "The shifter." He finished. The Venom laced in his voice made my blood boil. This baby inside me were not helping.

I grabbed my dinner knife and flung it to him. Klaus and Marcel chuckles as they saw the fear on the mans face.

"Had you let me finish, Diego, you would know that there is, of course, a viscous rumor, saying that I intend to use the blood of our child to make more hybrids." Klaus said placing a hand on my head and trailing it down to my shoulder.

"That, in fact, is not correct." He said. "As for my little shifter here, I would like to say, you all might be scared of me, but I'm scared of her." He chuckles. I laughed.

The nervous glances were passed around the table.

"I see I have to earn your trust. Very well. See, how can I sire any hybrids....if there are no more werewolves for me to turn?" He began. I sighed and twiddled my fingers.

"So drink, have fun, be merry and have yourselves a little wolf hunt. Go ahead, kill them all." He said.

"Klaus. are you insane?" I hiss. He just ignores me.

I need to warn Haley. Her family is in trouble. I made my way to the door to try and warn Haley but Diego stopped me.

"Where do you think you're going, pretty little thing." He said. I cringed but watched his body fall to the ground and in his place was Elijah.

"Let's go." He said. I shook my head and crossed my arms over my chest. He sighed and we turned to see other men being thrown.

Haley and Rebekah emerged from the shadows. I instantly turned to her and grabbed her arms.

"Klaus ordered a wolf hunt as some jacked-up peace offering to Marcel's men." I rush out. Her face falls and she turns to Elijah in fear.

"Do we look like a bloody vampire/werewolf rescuing squad." Rebekah demanded.

Haley turned to her.

"Please. I just found out about them and now they've been ordered to be killed." She said. She turned to Elijah and pleaded to him.

Elijah hesitated before suppressing a smile and nodding.

....

"It'll be okay, Josh." I heard a familiar voice say. My walk through the quarter was stopped by that very voice.

I walk down the stairs into the garage and see two figures. One with her back to me and the other, Josh facing me.

"If He hurts you, I'll hurt him." She said. I chuckled and walked out from the shadows.

"I'm pretty sure if you could hurt him you would've done it already." I said. She turned around to me and I felt my heart drop.

"R-Rory?" She asked. She started to shake but ran over to me and embraced me in a hug.

I sighed in relief and held her closer.

"Marcel told me you were in town but I didn't exactly have a chance to see it for myself." She said. I chuckled and pulled back to get a good look at her.

Immediately her eyes went to my stomach and her face dropped.

"He also told me you were pregnant with that terrible mans child." She spit.

"Well, that terrible man is still my child's father so.." I trailed off.

She nodded and looked down at her feet. But I smiled and and waved goodbye to Josh before taking her up to her room.

"How far along are you?" She asked as I sat on her bed.

"I don't know, if I'm being honest, 5-6 months at least. I don't have the best memory." I laughed. She chuckled and began searching through her boxes.

"What are you looking for?" I asked.

"My violin. I must have left it in the attic." She said frantically.

"I used to take lessons for violin." I smile. "Why don't you just go get it?"

"Because I'm not safe. The witches are still after me." She walked over and sat on my bed.

"You mean that crazy witch Agnes? Yeah, she tried to kill me too. But, she's dead now. Elijah killed her."

As soon as those words left my mouth her face flashed with hurt and shock.

"No. That can't be. If that was true Marcel would've told me." She said standing up and pacing.

"Why would I lie to you?" I asked. I placed a hand on my stomach from the mild back pain.

She only continued to pace. I got up and walked over to her.

"I'm sure he has a logical explanation as to why he hasn't let you out. Just ask him. I've got to go." I said. She nodded sadly and I walked out, heading to my room.

I needed alone time. I couldn't handle all of this. I stood on my balcony with a stomach on my hand.

I hear a familiar sound of wind rushing past me and mentally roll my eyes.

"What do you want, Elijah?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest and turning.

He only looked at me with a sad smile.

"I wanted to apologize. My words were in fact...cruel. I didn't mean them. Please forgive me." He says.

I take a step closer and look into his eyes.

"You suck. I really want to hate you right now but I've got a problem where I won't stop forgiving people who don't deserve it." I rolled my eyes and a smile appeared in his face.

"You get that from me." He joked. We embraced each other in a hug.

"You should go talk to Haley. Let her in. You haven't let anyone in since mom." I said. He nodded slowly and smiled.

Before he left me placed a small kiss to my head.
