—  MONTHS. THAT'S HOW LONG RICK AND his group had been on the road, constantly trying to find a new home to set up and stay, for Lori to finally give birth. The only way the group had known how much time had passed on the toad, was from the growing bump on the woman's stomach. Their only problem was trying to get off of the road before she popped. Giving birth in a car, or in a tent in the woods wasn't something that Lori wanted, or what was best for the baby, or her. Everyone was growing more and more worried by the day about how the baby will be born, and it was wearing everyone out to the point of exhaustion. Everyone was exhausted, starving and just overall fed up of being on the road. After having to flee from the farm, loosing most importantly, Shane and Andrea, the group had become closer, having to be stuck in a car with each other twenty-four seven.

Everyone seemed to be doing okay.. All except for Rick and Lori, who had fallen out over the death of Shane on the night of the attack.. When Rick announced to the group that you didn't have to be bitten to become infected, it all went downhill from there. The fact that Rick had known about it since the CDC, had shown everyone that he didn't exactly have the groups best interest at heart. He had kept a key piece of information from them all. Not only did the group have to worry about walkers, but now, if anyone died without a destroyed brain, they would come back as a walker no matter if they were bit or not. It just added that extra level of stress of living in this screwed up world.

The only thing the group could think of at the moment, was finding a suitable place for Lori to give birth.. That's all that mattered at the moment, and was all that was going to matter until the baby is born safely, and they had a safe environment for him/her. Sure, it was going to take a lot of work, and time, but they believed they could find somewhere like the farm again, somewhere good. None of the group members had realised just how good the farm was, until they had to leave - the fact they could roam around without any stress of a walker, and having stable food of the chickens, with fresh water from the well.. Since they had been on the road, all of that had been stripped from them, and they had all been struggling to get by.

Zoe believed that she had lost at least a stone or more since leaving the farm, with the constant moving around, limited food and water, and stress. Now, back before the world ended, she may have thought that would have been a good thing, but right now, she needed that extra fat and muscle to keep her going. Nate had reassured her plenty of times that she still looked great, and still fought the same since the farm, but Zoe just didn't feel like it. She felt weaker - although she was ten times better at shooting and she actually knew how to fight now.. She still didn't feel strong, and she just hoped that once they found a stable sanctuary, she could work on that, and become stronger in order for her to protect herself and her family.

Sure, she had become much stronger and smarter when it came to fighting since the farm, as she has had to kill a lot more walkers than she ever had before - back at the farm, she had only killed one herself, and even then, it ate her up inside with guilt, but now, it came as easily as sleeping. That's what the world now did to you, it took away your humanity, your innocence, and it sucked. Zoe liked to think that she still had both of hers, but she just knew that it wasn't going to last.. She had this gut feeling that something was going to happen soon, and she didn't like it one bit. If it weren't for Nate by her side every night, she didn't think she would be able to sleep at all, and that scared her. What would she do without Nate?
