Chapter 1

Evelyn's POV

"Rodriguez! Get over here!" Coach yells and I run towards the bench

"Yeah coach?"

"How are you doing? Is your apartment fine?"

"It's fine for now I've been working extra shifts to manage the rent but I'm good" I tell coach and she nods

"Alright you tell me if you need some money for the rent I don't want you working extra shifts but I just wanted to make sure now go warm up!"

"Yes coach"

Kelley's POV

"So we're going where now?" I ask

"To Wenatchee Washington there's a really good player who's in high school so we're going to go watch her play today and who knows she could even come play with us" Alex says

"Well this sounds interesting just how good is she" I ask raising my eyebrow

"She broke every single record from her high school like so many that I don't know if I can name them all"

"Well then she must be really good" I say with eyes wide open

"She is and she's a forward!"

"Aww another mini you how nice maybe this one won't be so annoying and waking me up at six in the morning for a run" Tobin says which ends up with Alex slapping her arm

"That's mean but I have to respect my elders"

"I'm one year older ONE!" Tobin yells and we all start laughing

"Alright we're here!" Jill yells and we all nod and get off the bus

"Baby Mal! You ready to watch this girl play and see what all the fuss is about?" I ask Mal

"I'm actually very excited"

"That is because you my dear Mal will finally have someone close to your age" I pat Mal's head

"I mean you're not wrong but how old is she?" Mal asks

"Seventeen!" Alex yells

"She's three years younger than me I don't know Kelley"

"Hey a friend is a friend"

"Alright ladies no one knows we're here except the coach and we didn't want to tell the girl because I want to see how she plays like she normally plays not how oh someone is here watching so I have to impress them so just lay low here and don't go all hyper on us" Jill says and looks at me, Sonnett, and Lindsey

"Yeah yeah we get it don't hit someone with a water bottle again like last time" Sonnett says and the girls all laugh

"Alright let's go to the bleachers" Jill says and we nod

Evelyn's POV

"Alright cap what do you want us to do?" Brook asks me

"Same as always play fair don't be dirty and have a great time but please listen to each other last game was a mess!" I say

"Poor girl didn't see that goal post" Coach says and we all shake our heads

"Alright Cadets on three!" I yell "one two three"

"Cadets!" We all yell

The ref blows the whistle as the other team starts.

"Evelyn! Push up!" Coach yells and I nod

I run to the other teams midfielder and steal the ball from her as I run towards the goal but kick it to Dani who's on the left. Dani jumps but misses it by a hair

"So close" I mumble "Alright come on girls!" I yell and clap

The goalie was taking forever to kick so I ran up to the goalie stealing the ball and kicking it to the goal.

"Yes E! First goal in under five minutes!" Dani yells as she jumps on top of me

"Get off you're heavy" I say and she shoves me

"I'm not heavy and you bench more than my weight so I'm easy to pick up" she says poking my arms and I shrug

"I don't like when you're right" I say while I run back to my position but I see Dani sticking her tongue out to me and I laugh

"There's a lot of people today" Jackie tells me and I look towards the bleachers and sure enough there was a lot of people

"Yeah weird" I say

Alex's POV

"Are you se-"

"This girl just scored five more goals in less than fifteen minutes!" Tobin yells

"She's how old again?" Sam asks

"Seventeen" Jill says and all our mouths open

"It's the 80th minute this girl has some game!" Kelley says and I nod

"She has so much potential I'd like to see her on the team" Carli says

"Look!" Allie yells and we all look to the field to see someone on the ground and everyone starting to fight and we all stand up to see what this girl would do

"Look at her!"

"She's keeping calm! I would've lost it by now" I say

"She's apologizing for something her teammate did wrong and uncalled for"

Evelyn's POV

"That's a foul!" The girl on the other team yells

"Bitch!" My teammate Kayla yells

"Say it to my face!" The other girl yells

All of a sudden everyone starts fighting and going at one another.

"Hey calm down!" I yell but no one listens so I run towards the main people fighting and getting in between them both

"Say it to my face bitch!" Kayla yells

"Kayla stop it now!" I yell

"Calm your bitch down!" The girl on the other team yells at me

"Dude I'm trying to move her out of the way but you're grabbing my arm! I apologize for what she did!" I yell

"So sorry about her she has issues but thank you for apologizing" the captain of the other team says and I smile and nod

"Kayla come on let's go!" I yell but then see the girl Kayla knocked down still on the floor so I go over to her "Hey you okay?"

"Oh um yeah thanks it's just my ankle" she says

"Bring the stretcher!" The trainers yells

"I can take her off the field if you guys don't mind" I say and they nod "up up and away"

"You're really cute" she says and I chuckle nervously

"Thank you" I say with a smile "I'm really sorry about what my teammate did"

"It's fine really plus because that happened I got to see someone cute today" she says

"Really?" I ask and she nods "who? I mean not trying to be weird but who"

"You" she says

"Oh um thanks? Well you're where you need to be now so once again I'm really sorry" I say and walk back to my team.

This is what? The twentieth time a girl says I'm cute at a game. The hell is going on? This is too weird.

Kelley's POV

"So what do you guys think?" Jill asks us all

"That was a crazy game" I say still in shock of what I saw

"Intense!" Alex says and we all agree

"So are you calling her up?" I ask

"We'll see" Jill says smiling. Oh yeah that's a yes for sure "Alright everyone back to the bus!"
