Dave
We were still at the hospital talking to Izzy nobody was in a rush but it was getting a little late for the kids. "Alright bro we finna head out" I told Izzy as I grabbed Kairi who was laying next to him asleep. "Aww you taking my lil cuddle buddy, but it's ok I'm finna get some ass in this bitch" he said whispering the last part. I busted out laughing making everybody look at us.
"You ready?" I asked Amour grabbing Kaelani's car seat and diaper bag. "Yeah let me use the bathroom" she said grabbing her purse. By the time we all said our goodbyes to Izzy and Jania, Amour was walking out the bathroom. We walked to my moms car putting the kids in the car and kissing them goodbye.
I walked Amour to her car opening her door for her. "Ima see you at home right?" I asked her. "Yeah ima stop by the store and— "don't worry about it I'll get it text me what you need" I told her cutting her off. "Thanks I was just gonna get some to eat" She said. "I'll pick something up so you don't have to cook" I told her as she nodded.
I closed her door "be safe" I told her walking away. I wasn't sure what exactly I was going to say but I knew I couldn't lose her. I drove to this soul food spot that Amour loved and went home.
Of course she was already there so I sat the food on the counter and went up stairs to see where she was. I heard the shower running sooo I'm guessing she was in the shower but when I went to open the door it was locked. I shook my head because i couldn't help but think how long this had been going on.
I sat on the bed waiting for her to come out. She finally opened the door jumping because she didn't know I was home yet but she was only in a towel. "Omg you scared me" she said covering herself up. "Amour why you doing that" I said walking up to her. "Doing what?" She said looking down. "Let me see please" I told her removing her towel. She had a couple stretch marks on her stomach but I loved them especially knowing why she had them.
"Put your clothes on so we can talk" I said kissing her forehead and then watching her walk away. A couple minutes later she came out the closet and sat on the bed. "Tell me how you been feeling and don't lie to me." I said holding her hands. I wanted her to feel as comfortable as possible or she wasn't gone tell me anything.
"It's really nothing Dave" she said looking at me. "Amour please tell me baby... I can't fix it if I don't know anything" I told her rubbing across her hands.
"Dave you don't touch me you don't talk to me unless it's about the babies hell you don't even look at me. I know my body isn't the same but it's hard not having you here with me. I don't even like looking at myself in the mirror. I try to touch you or even give you a kiss and you shut me down. Do you not want me anymore?" She said crying. "I do baby I love you I love your body, I'm so sorry" I said wiping her tears.
"I didn't want to say anything because everything that happened with Izzy but Dave I needed you too. I'm not tryna be selfish but I miss you I miss us and dealing with Kairi and Kaelani is hard by myself you know one minute your here and the next your gone." "Amour I'm sorry baby I got so wrapped up in Izzy I ended up letting my family down in the process. I should've been here for you and the kids and I wasn't and that's 100% my fault I own that" I told her pulling her closer.
"Why didn't you tell me about the depression? You let Dez tell me some shit like that I'm not mad but something that serious should've came from you." I said. She shook her head and covered her face crying harder. "I didn't know how" she said in between cries. I spread my legs pulling her in between them kissing her forehead. "This my fault I'm sorry" I said.
I pulled her hands down making her look at me. "Promise me next time it's something this serious you'll come to me no matter what's going on" I said holding my pinky out. She grabbed it and we both kissed it. "I love you pooh I'm sorry you going through this but I promise ima be here every step of the way." I said as she nodded "I love you too" she said. I grabbed her face giving her a nice long passionate kiss.
"Hold on" I said going downstairs to get the food. I came back and she was wiping her face in the bathroom. I took off my shirt and pants putting on some sweats and then getting comfortable in the bed. "Baby come eat" I said opening our plates up.
"Ouuu Dave you didn't" she said smiling. "Mhmm give me some love" I said poking my lips out. She gave me a kiss and continued to her food while I looked for a movie to watch. We ate and finished the movie together until we decided to call the kids and say goodnight.
"Kairi you being good" I asked as she shook her head no. I couldn't help but laugh that lil girl knew she was bad as hell and didn't care. "You better be good Kairi ok" amour said. "Ok mommy" she said. "What the he- "ok good night babies we love you" Amour said cutting me off again. She hung up the phone looking at me laughing. "How the hell you get the "ok mommy" and I get the "I'm being bad" I asked. "Because Dave she knows she don't get in trouble by you" she said laughing.
Things are looking good again🙌🏾
And they finally had a talk that was long over due. 🥰💙
