Hope's POV:

Over the next few weeks, while the Fat Lady is recovering, our portrait hole has been filled by the annoying Sir Cadogan. He's horrible. He thinks he's tough when he really just looks stupid. He also changes that password every few hours. Poor Neville can't keep up.

"He's barking mad." Seamus says as we all stand outside waiting for him to let us in. "I don't know what you'd expect. After what happened to the Fat Lady none of the other pictures would take the job." Dean says.

"But he keeps changing the password. That's twice already this morning. I've been keeping a list." Neville chimes in. I pat his shoulder. "Don't worry Neville, you'll get them eventually." I say before walking away with my friends, knowing he won't let us in.

Instead we head to Defense Against the Dark Arts early. When we get to the room however, Lupin isn't setting things up, Snape is. He's setting up a projector. I then think about it. There was a full moon last night. Must have  been a rough one if he's not here today.

Finally everyone is in the classroom. "Turn to page 394." He says. Shrugging I open my book and turn to the page. My eyes widen when I realize it's the section over werewolves. He's try to get one of us to notice Lupin. "Excuse me sir, where's Professor Lupin?" Harry asks from beside me.

"It's not really your concern, is it Potter. It's enough to say that your professor finds himself unable to teach you at the present time. Turn to page 394." He says again, walking to the back and turning on the projector. "Werewolves?" Ron asks, confused.

"But sir, we were just learning about Redcaps and Hinkeypunks. We're not meant to learn about nocturnal beasts for weeks." Hermione says. I flinch at her use of the word 'beast'. "Quiet." Snape calls.

"Now, which one of you could tell me the difference between an animagus and a werewolf." Hermione and I raise our hands. "Miss Mikaelson?" He asks. "An animagus is wizard who elect to turn into an animal. Werewolves have no choice." I say.

"Anything else?" Hermione takes over before I can say anything. "Every full moon when he transforms a werewolf no longer remembers who he is. He'll kill his best friend if he crosses his path. Furthermore, a werewolf only responds to the call of it's own kind." Hermione says.

Malfoy lets out a mock howl. "Thank you for that assessment Mr. Malfoy. That is the second time you have spoken out of turn Mrs. Granger. Are you incapable of retaining yourself, or do you take pride in being an insufferable know-it-all. Five points from Gryffindor."

I glare at Snape when Hermione looks down at her books, embarrassed. Snape goes on to teach the lesson when something lands and mine and Harry's desk. I glance over at Malfoy who sent it and glare. Harry opens it and it shows Harry on a broomstick, getting electrocuted by lightning.

I lower my hand under the table to do something to him, but Harry grabs it before I can do. "Don't he's not worth it." He whispers to me Sighing I squeeze his hand before bringing my hand back onto the table. I glare at the projector screen. We're playing Hufflepuff this week.

Should be an easy win.

The is defiantly not ideal quidditch weather. It's pouring rain and lightning is flashing all around us. Hufflepuff plays fairly so the only thing threatening to hurt the keeper or chasers is the lightning. It already took out Katie. Caught the end of her broomstick and sent her down.

Now it's just Angelina and me. It's not bad. Hufflepuff has the weakest defense, but their seeker is good. Cedric Diggory. He's a sixth year this year. I'm not too worried about him. We already lead Hufflepuff 170 to 10 and I'm on my way to score again.

I hurl the ball towards the Hufflepuff goal and it sails through the left hoop. They get it back and score. 180 to 20. Suddenly I see someone falling past me. I glance and my eyes widen. "HARRY!" I yell. He slows down and lands softly on the ground, broom no where in sight.

He's out and Angelina flies past me. "Come on, if Diggory gets the snitch we need to be far enough ahead. Come on." She says I really don't want to leave Harry alone right now, but she's right. He'd rather us win and then me check on him later than throw the game to check on him.

Sighing I get back to work. When the game is called the score is Gryffindor 200 and Hufflepuff 190. I sigh in relief. "Nice job Mikaelson." Angelina says. I don't really pay attention. Fred, George, and I land and start making our way to the Hospital Wing when someone stops me.

I turn to see Cedric Diggory behind me. He's a nice guy so I give him a small, tight lipped smile. "Good job out there Mikaelson." "You too Diggory. I'm sorry, but I have to go check on Harry." I say. He nods.

"He plays good, wouldn't have caught the snitch before him, just so you know. He's an excellent player." He says. I smile more sincerely now. "He is, thank you. I'll make sure he knows you said that." He nods and I race to catch up with the twins.

When we get to the Hospital Wing I take a seat on the side of his bed and grab his limp hand in mine. Now we wait. The others are all hovering over him right now. "He looks horrible." Ron says. "You fall from that high up and see how you look." George says.

"A better sight than he normally does." Harry mumble. I look down at him, relieved. He opens his eyes fully. "How are you feeling?" I ask, squeezing his hand. "I'm brilliant." He says, sitting up. "You gave a right scare there mate." Fred says.

"My broom, and the match, who won?" Harry asks. "We did, got up enough points and won 200 to 190." I say. He smiles at me. "Good job." "Uh, there's something else you should know too Harry. When you fell, your broom sorta blew into the Womping Willow." Ron says.

He lays the remains of Harry's broom on the bed. He looks devastated. He squeezes my hand and runs his thumb over the back of it. He's upset. "Uh, guy, could you give us a minute?" I ask. They nod and everyone leaves. "I'm sorry Harry." I say once they're all gone.

"It's ok, it's not your fault." He says. "I know. I've been thinking. The next game you're going to use my broom and I'm going to use one of the school's." "Why?" He asks, utterly confused as to why I would give up my broom.

"Seekers need speed more than a chaser does and since we're playing Slytherin next and they have Numbus 2001s you're going to need all the speed you can get." I say. "You don't need to give up your broom for me." He says. "I know." He smiles.

"Thank you Hope, you really are a great friend." He says. I smirk. "I know, now, get some rest." I say, standing up. I give his hand one more squeeze before standing and walking from the room.
