Hope's POV:

I grin as I stand in front of the room Neville brought us to. "You've done it Neville. You've found the Room of Requirement." Hermione grins. "The what?" Ron asks. "It's also known at the Come and Go Room." Hermione explains. We all just shrug, still not knowing what she's talking about.

"The Room of Requirement only appears when a person has real need of it, and it always equipped for the seeker's needs." "So, say you really needed the toilet." "Charming Ronald, but yes, that is the general idea." "It's brilliant. It's like Hogwarts wants us to fight back." Harry says.

I grin at him. "Then let's fight." A few days go by and training starts. Right now All the students are lined up single file while Harry and I stand off to the side. We've decided that since Harry and I have equal experience with wand magic then we should both be the teachers.

Neville raises his want to the practice dummy. "Explliarmus." He says, but he disarms himself and sends his want flying backwards through the group. He looks to the ground, defeated. "I'm hopeless." He mumbles. I place my hand on his shoulder and rub t gently.

"You're not hopeless." "You're just flourishing your want too much. Try it like this. "Expelliarmus." This time the fake wand flies from the dummy's hand. I pat Neville on the back and he moves to grab his wand, letting the next person go. Each lesson brings a new spell.

Like the day we learned the stunning spell. Harry and I standing across the room from each other, waiting to demonstrate a proper stunning spell and protection spell. Everyone is watching with interest.

"A stunning spell is a very useful weapon in a wizard's arsenal. It's a wizard's bread and butter really. Ready Hope?" He asks. I gin and nod. "Stupify!" He yells. "Protago!" I say, defending myself. The spell doesn't get anywhere near me. "Excellent Hope." Harry grins.

Smirking I decide to see if he's guard or not. "Stupify!"  He isn't and is sent flying backwards. A few people laugh at him. He stands and shoots me a playful grin. "Thank you Hope, for that demonstration." "Anytime." After that we let pairs go.

When Ron and Hermione step up I turn towards Harry. "A galleon Hermione puts him flat on his ass." "You're on." Ron raises his wand. Hermione beats him to it. "Stupify!" He lets out a hilarious sound as he is send flying backwards. Everyone in the room laughs while Harry turns to me.

"I'll pay you when we get to the Common Room tonight. That night Filch followed a few kids so we go out an alternate way down a different hallway. After that night Umbridge started questioning people. The next week we work on levitation spells.

I'm helping a third year girl when I look over and see Harry with his hand covering Cho's, helping her. Something lights up in me. "Uh, Hope?" The girl I'm helping asks. I snap out of my daze and turn my attention to where she's levitating Neville.

"Very good." I grin down at her and she beams back. After that lesson Umbridge forms the Inquisitorial Squad. It's all full of people like Malfoy. I shudder at the thought. I can't take being in a room with either one of the Malfoy's.

At least I have an excuse to avoid them now and I know who to avoid. "Working hard is important, but there's something that matters even more. Believing in yourself." Harry starts. I take over after that.

"Think of it this way. Every great wizard in history has started out, as nothing more than what we are now, students. If they can do it. Why not us?" I call out. Harry grins over at me. "Well said." "Eh, you were going to say it." I reply.

It's the last lesson before Christmas break and I've been working with Neville closely and I am right now acting as a dummy for him to practice on. "Expelliarmus." He says for the the fiftieth time, except this time, something happens.

My wand flies from my hand and everyone stops what they're doing to look at us. I beam up at him, walking towards him and kissing his cheek. "Great job Neville." I don't think I've been this happy about anything in a while. he grins back, blushing wildly as all the boys smirk at him.

All but Harry, there's something in his eyes, but I shake it off. He can't be jealous. I've had to watch him and Cho this whole time. Besides, he has to know Neville is practically my brother at this point. With that done Hermione, Ron, Harry, and I stand in front of the group.

"So, that's it for this lesson. Now, we're not going to be meeting again until after the holidays. So just keep practicing on your own as best you can. And...and well done everyone. Great, great work." We all clap for him. "Well done Harry." I whisper to him, taking his hand.

He grins back at me. "Thanks." Everyone turns to leave. Hermione and Ron head for the door and when I go to follow I feel a tug on my arm. Harry isn't following. "You coming?" I ask. "Uh, yeah. I just need a second." He says. Confused, I just nod, thinking he wants some time alone.

I follow Ron and Hermione and convince them to wait with me. Everyone else is gone by now. It's been a little bit. "I'm going to go check up on him." Hermione nods and I head for the door. When I walk in, however, I notice Harry isn't alone.

His and Cho's lips are locked together while they stand under some mistletoe. Something inside me breaks at the sight. They must have heard me enter because they break apart instantly. Harry's eyes widen at the sight of me. He takes a step forward and I take one back.

"Sorry. I just thought..." I didn't know what I was thinking. "I'll leave you two alone." With that I speed walk out of the room and towards the Common Room. Hermione and Ron call after me. Hermione even follows while Ron stays and waits for Harry.

"Hope, wait! What did you see?" She asks when she finally catches up to me, pulling me to a stop by my arm. "I don't want to talk about it." "Hope come on, what happened?" "I saw Harry and Cho." Her brows furrow. "What? What were they doing?"

I don't say anything, but the look on my face must give it away as she gasps and pulls me into a hug. "I am so sorry Hope." I shake my head and pull away. "It's fine. He's my best friend, I should be happy he finally got the girl he's been after for a year." "Hope-"

"I'm pretty tired, I'm gonna head to bed." With that I rip my arm out of her hold and walk towards the Common Room. Only when I'm in my empty dormitory do I let to the first tear fall.
