The year of the new beginning

Monday, 28th of January. Sarada is six years old. Sasuke has been away for 10 months.

"Sarada please answer."

"Mama..."

Sakura's mom ran out of the house with the girl in her arms. She ran straight to the hospital and barged in.

"Quick, a doctor!"

Someone ran up to her. "What is happening? Isn't that Saku-"

"Yes it is her! Her temperature seems too high and she can't stay awake for long."

"Put her in a bed, we'll bring her to a bedroom. Where is Sakura-sama?"

"She was asked to go to the clinic in Suna for a few days."

The doctor, or so she assumed, brought the little girl to an examination room. She waited until he was done with her granddaughter.

"I will be honest with you, I don't know what is happening. Did she eat something unusual? Did she spend some time in the village or ate food from a stranger?"

"No, she was at home with me."

"We need Tsunade-sama or Sakura-same. I will go and warn the Hokage to bring them back as fast as possible."

He ran out of the room and so she approached the bed to take her granddaughter's hand.

"Sarada, baby, if you can hear me don't worry. Your mom will be back soon."

The little girl slightly opened her eyes and even if it wasn't much, she still saw the red eye.

She stayed by the side of the bed until Sakura arrived two days and a half later. She barged into the room and rushed to the bed.

"Sarada! Sarada, can you hear me? What did you give her?"

"Some painkillers and herbs to bring the fever down a bit."

"And it didn't work?"

"It didn't work."

Her daughter activated her green chakra and pressed it against Sarda's forehead. She watched as the pinkette's eyes were shut. She opened them suddenly.

"I don't get it. The only disturbance I am getting is coming from her eyes."

"We picked up on that too. To check what was happening we opened her eyes to see what was going on and... maybe you should see for yourself."

Sakura frowned her eyebrows and opened her daughter's eye with two fingers. She immediately let go and backed away. "That's impo- go get the Hokage!"

"What is going on?" her mother asked but Sakura ignored her and checked the rest of her body.

Kakashi entered the room shortly after. "Sakura." he said.

"I need you to tell me everything you know about the sharingan."

He rose his eyebrows. "There is a lot to tell. It would be easier if you just asked me a question."

"Is there an age where the Sharingan awakens?"

"No, it depends on everyone."

"Can it be dangerous if it awakens too early?"

He seemed to be thinking about it for a second.

"You should probably ask Sasuke. Why?"

"Her Sharingan is awakened."

"The Sharingan awakens only when something traumatic happens."
