I was making my way home after picking up some pizza. They had delivery services, but it was only a few minutes to walk so I went to pick it up. I had bought pizza since Tim was coming over for movie night.

When I got home, I paused seeing a cat asleep on my porch. I blinked, not knowing why there was a cat there. "... Am I part of that cat chooses the owner meme now?" I asked myself. I carefully walked towards the sleeping feline, and I saw its eyes open and I stared at its piercing blue eyes, staring at me.

Neither of us moved. It meowed and walked to the side, as if letting me in to my own house. I unlocked my door and the cat walked in and I closed the door after I stepped in.

I placed the pizza on the kitchen table and the cat had jumped onto the table as well.

"Let's see if you have an owner.." I sighed and attempted to pick it up, hoping it won't hate it and scratch me.

It stayed still and calm as I cradled it in my arms. I pet around the neck, feeling no collar, and continued petting since it seemed to enjoy it. "Are you a boy or a girl? Then maybe I can put posters up around the neighborhood... you can't be a stray since you seem comfortable with people." I muttered, lifting the cat to try check its gender. Though it didn't seem to like that and began squirming around. I eventually let go and the cat dropped perfectly onto his feet.

"Maybe Tim can help.. or take you? I heard his brother likes animals..." I mumbled.

I sighed crouching down, stretching out my hand and he rubbed his face against my fingers. I smiled petting it softly. "Maybe I could give you a nickname instead of just it..." I said out loud, wondering what name to give it. The cat was black with blue eyes, no patterns or patches of other colors on it. "Black and blue.. I don't want to call you Blackie, or Midnight.." I mumbled as it continued rubbing against my hand. I smiled, and picked it up, setting it on my lap.

"Hey cat. Could you tell me are you a boy or a girl?" I asked. "I'm going to say names. If you meow to any, that will be your name." I said and I just assume it understood me.
"Ace. Princess. Rex. Link. Noct. James. Lily. Andy." I began listing off my friends names, not able to think of cat names, "Timmy." It meowed.

"You wanna be called Timmy? I'm going to assume your a boy then." I said and he meowed again.

I sighed, and looked at the time. I reached for my phone to call Tim, but it went straight to voice mail. "Guess he won't be coming." I sighed. Knowing that Tim was one of Gotham's masked vigilante heroes, I was used to Tim not showing up for things like this.

I sat down and ate my pizza as the cat gave me company. "I wonder if cats can eat pizza. I don't have any actual cat food for you." I mumbled, looking up if I can feed cats pizza on the internet. Internet said no.

I sighed and looked at the time. "I'll be right back, so just stay here." I smiled rubbing Timmy's head and heading off to put on my shoes and grab my keys and wallet to go but some wet canned cat food and some litter and whatever else I could find.

I was laying in bed, scrolling through my social media, Timmy curled up next to me. I paused seeing someone face timing me. It was Lucy, my girl best friend. I answered the face time.

"Hey dumbass." Was the first thing she said.

"Hey pervert." I replied out of habit.

"Anyways, how was the date?" She asked me.

Timmy seemed to perk his head up at the word date.

"It wasn't a date. Tim couldn't come." I replied, petting Timmy as he laid back down.
