"She's..." I gulp in surprise

I never ever in a million years thought he had a fiancée, he never really showed it but I guess I don't either and only to find out she's dead.

Thank God! My subconscious says and shake my head getting rid of the thought.

"Yeah, she's dead," He completes

"How did she die?" I ask cautiously

"In a car accident," he states simply "How are you doing?" he points to Antonio's grave and I stare at it quickly scooting away from Cole making the jacket fall. My cheeks heat up in embarrassment as I realize I'm in front of Antonio's grave getting close with Cole.

"I'm okay," my voice cracks as I play with my fingers

"You know I'm here if you need to talk right?" He tells me placing the jacket back on my shoulder

"Does it ever stop hurting?" I ask after a while staring at Cole

Cole sighs and stares up at the sky a somber look on his face.

"Does it?" I ask again my voice cracking

"No, you just make room for it," He tells me and I start sobbing again balling my hands into fists

Cole grabs one of my hands pulling me closer and hugging me while I cry into his shirt. I don't care about him seeing me weak, at least not today. I need all the emotional support I can get.

I feel droplets of tears fall on my hand and I hear Cole's soft voice....He's crying

Together we cry our hearts out and he holds on to me. We let each other see our weakest sides knowing today marked a whole year since the departure of the ones we loved.

"Please stop crying, you're hurting me," he tells me his voice hoarse and I squeeze my eyes tightly trying to take deep breaths as he hugs me tighter

After a few more minutes of crying and a lot of soothing from Cole we get up and decide to head back home since it's a little after two pm already.

"Did you come with your car?" He asks me

"No," I curse pulling my phone from my pocket to dial the driver when a black jeep parks in front of the cemetery.

"Martin?" I frown

"Oh my God thank God you're okay," Martin hugs me

"Yeah I'm fine, who told you I came here?"

"Oh, Hey Cole," He shakes him giving him a small smile "Well, I woke up this morning and then I checked the calendar and saw it was today, so I went to your house and Sandra told me you were here and I thought you were gonna do something stupid so I rushed down here," he finishes

"I wasn't gonna do anything," I smack his shoulder rolling my eyes and then he raises and eyebrow smiling at Cole's jacket on my shoulders

"I see you guys had a good time," he smirks and Cole looks away clearing his throat

"But what are you doing here?" Martin asks Cole "Did you come to see her?"

"No, Turns out my fiancée and her husband died on the same day so I came here to see my fiancée,"

"That is so crazy," Martin replies and I roll my eyes

"Thanks Cole," I give him a small smile "Martin will drop me off," I assure him

"Okay, I'll see you later," He smiles "Martin, talk later?" he makes a phone call demonstration with his hand

"Yeah," he replies and Cole turns around getting into his car before driving off

Martin and I head for his car and he starts asking me questions

"So how was the visit? Do you feel better after talking to him?"

I look up at him in astonishment stopping in my tracks "How do you know I did that?"

"it's you," he shrugs laughing "You're a weirdo," He laughs out loud and I punch him in the arm

"Ease up on your punches damn you can hit a man," He puts his hand on his upper arm

"I'm good," I wink laughing

"Crazy lady," He mutters getting into the car

I get in fastening the seat belt before realizing I'm still wearing Cole's jacket

"Shit, I didn't return his jacket," I sigh

"Oh that," He wiggles his brows "Just sleep with it every night so you can be reminded of him,"

'Shut up," I mutter my cheeks heating up

I feel so much lighter after seeing Antonio even though he couldn't respond to my questions. I'm glad I got to explain how I feel to him.

"Are you okay?" Martin asks and I give him a wide smile

"I feel better, so much better,"

"Good," He smiles "Dunkin' Donuts?"

"You know me too well," I smile

After getting a box of donuts and coffee, I and Martin get comfy in his car bantering back and forth.

"I'm telling you a pistol is better," He sighs

"No, an AK 47 is better, it shoots multiple times,"

"Yeah, but it's not easy to carry around without being noticed," He continues

"Whatever," I shrug eating my fourth doughnut

"Hey slow down," He chuckles "I didn't get any yet," He picks up one of the last two frosting coated doughnut and I slap his hand making him drop it

"You could have gotten yours," I hold the box close to myself

"Really, I just want one,"

"Maybe I can cut half?" I suggest and he rolls his eyes

"Don't make me tickle you," He sighs and I roll my eyes before he attacks me with his hands leaning over the gear and I burst into fits of laughter before falling off the seat and onto the floor of the car.

"Fine fine," I wheeze laughing before handing him a chocolate-coated doughnut.
