☁︎︎ Third POV

It's been a month since the death of the L/n family. Y/n has been living in the wood on his own with the help of Yoriichi on his side. He didn't want to live in his old house, it was too nostalgic for him to handle.

During his stay in the wood, he had encountered multiple different lower demons. Ones that were easily killed and left to die in the sun for Y/n. He didn't care for them honestly.

When Y/n isn't out getting food or water for himself, he was training. Training with Yoriichi on how to fight with a katana properly. He was lucky that his father used to own a real katana for him to use.

Y/n properly made new forms to his new breathing technique. All of them served a different purpose to which Y/n had made for certain occasions.

Yoriichi was proud of Y/n for push himself. He was always there to make sure Y/n was safe and is taking care of himself. Yoriichi was like a little angel on Y/n's shoulder, always reminding him of what to do and when to do it.

Since Y/n now lives in the woods alone, he didn't have interactions with any humans other than Yoriichi. But he was a spirit so he didn't count.

What Y/n didn't expect was him getting the attention of some certain pillars. Pillars and Hashira's of the demon corps foundation.

Obanai was doing his normal route and searching for demons to slay. His snake telling him where to go just in case he made a detour by accident.

What he didn't expect was a yells and growls of someone fighting. Thinking it was a demon attacking a human, he rushed over to where the yells were coming from. But much to his surprise, it was a demon getting beaten up by a human boy.

The human boy was short, or at least shorter than him, with dull eyes and a blank face that could go against Giyuu's. The boy was stomping on the demon repeatedly making the demon unable to attack because of how violent and fast the boy was.

Obanai was too shocked by the scene in front of him to do anything. His duo colored eyes were wide in surprise.

He watched as the boy unsheathed a katana from his back and stab the demon in the chest. He watched as the boy dragged the demon by his katana to the edge of the mountain side.

The boy shoved the katana further into the demon as he stuck it to a tree facing the slowly raising sun. He stepped back a bit and left the demon there as it cried and yelled for the boy to fight it properly.

The boy only raised a hand to his eyes to block the morning sun as he watched the demon burn to ashes. But being respectful, he prayed for the demon.

Obanai was shocked on how a small and weak-looking young boy was able to defeat a demon so easily considering that they were very dangerous. Yet, he watched the boy beat the demon with no problem and let the sun take care of the rest. He played smart.

The boy suddenly looked to where Obanai was. Being snapped out of his state of shock, Obanai leaped into the air at lighting speed. He watches from the trees as the boy looked at his previous place, confused almost.

Obanai watches as the boy pulled the katana out of the tree and started to walk off. He was confused a bit since he knew that there wasn't any houses down that path.

"I should tell master about this," Obanai mumbled as he disappeared from his place in the trees.

Mitsuri huffed a bit as she walked her route for the day. She really wanted to eat some mochi but she had work to do. Her stance was a bit slump when she walked around, feeling a bit glum.
