☁︎︎ Third POV

News of Y/n being kidnapped my Muzan spread like wild fire. Just like before, it reached everyone that knew Y/n, the monster controlling the angst of the situation seemed to have grown stronger for everyone, bringing them to tears when they received the letter.

Of course, everyone had a different reaction, along with a different copping mechanisms to deal with the sudden situation. Y/n leaving for a mission, him getting heavily injured, and now him disappearing without a trace, left a mental scar for everyone.

The monster controlling the angst seems to be pleased with it. The monster does not exist psychically, but it always seemed to be there. It controlled how people cried, it controlled people's negative emotion, it was a burden to everyone.

Out of everyone, Tanjiro and Hinata seemed to be the main victims to this monster. Tanjiro had been with Y/n since the very beginning, staying by his side seemed like second nature to him, but with Y/n gone, he felt lost in a way. Although Tanjiro is a 'leader' of some sort, without Y/n he felt like he was nothing. He felt like a speck of dirt amongst the sand, nothing and unnoticeable. He was only noticeable when Y/n was around, he was just wondering a world he knew nothing about. This scared him, shaking him to the core, and he had no Y/n to comfort him.

Hinata is Y/n's crow, and had only been Y/n's crow. Y/n was the first slayer to actually accept Hinata's outgoing personality, and he's been by the crows side since then. Y/n was always there to play with Hinata, to make Hinata's day better, but Y/n's gone now. Hinata has no person to make him feel better anymore.

Zenitsu was another person who fell victim to the monster. He wasn't there to save Y/n from Gyutaro, he wasn't there to save Y/n from the spider demon, he wasn't there to save Y/n from Muzan. Zenitsu blames himself for being too scared, too incompetent, too useless for Y/n. And it doesn't help that he can't turn to his Gramps for help anymore. To Zenitsu it seemed like everyone he loves are slowly disappearing.

Inosuke was oddly silent, too silent, about everything. No one truly knew what Inosuke was ever feeling because of his boar head covering his face, but Y/n always knew what he was feeling because of his aura. Y/n cheered Inosuke up, he made Inosuke feel fuzzy inside, he wants to feel that again. Inosuke couldn't help but crave for Y/n appreciation, they were always comforting to him.

Kanao heard the news through her crow, and she didn't know whether to scream, cry, or anything else, so she was in a silent shock throughout the whole ordeal. She always had troubled with her emotions and decisions, but with Y/n it felt like she was free from the chains she had created for herself. Y/n was always there to make her be herself, but now she felt like she was in a cage again. She felt alone, like a bird or a fish swimming around and around it's tank over and over again.

Genya trained his hardest after hearing what had happened to Y/n. He had this odd knowledge that if he was stronger he would be able to protect Y/n better, be with Y/n sooner, and suddenly Y/n would appear before him. Of course, this never worked and only caused Genya to cry during his training sessions all bruised up and bloody because he overworked himself. But Genya never stopped training, since this is the only thing he can control in his life.

Other than Tanjiro, Uzui seemed to have it second to worse, he fell right into the hands of the monster controlling everyone's feelings. Some days, Uzui never wanted to get up from his bed, others he didn't want to eat, and this worries his wives. His wives care for him and seeing Uzui like a mess hurts them to the core, but they don't blame him. They are just as devastated as Uzui when they heard the news. They wanted to care for Uzui, but they knew that he needed his space, so they'll continue to wait for him.

Depression, angst, sadness, and death isn't something that Giyuu was unfamiliar with. For fuck sakes his best friend and sister died right before him, but, for some reason, Y/n's disappearance seemed to stab him straight through his soul. If he wasn't distant now, he was definitely distant to everyone. He didn't care if no body talked to him, comforted him, because none of them will comfort and talk to him like Y/n would. Y/n would speak so softly to him it was like soft rain fall, it was calming, but now whenever someone brings up Y/n's name, it sound like a thunder storm, hurting Giyuu wherever he went. He tried to avoid conversations with Y/n's name in it as much as possible because it hurts so much.
