Standing on the main deck, Y/N felt the absolute magnitude of the Solitas mountains. They stretched so high the couldn't even be seen through the clouds.

"We caught a lucky break." Célian announced to him and his fellow guardians. "The blizzard receded several kilometers up the mountain range, we'll have a few hours to gain our bearings and find the path. Any questions?"

After a long period of silence, Célian released a small grunt as he stood with a massive pack shadowing over him. Him along with almost everyone else had supplies packed to the brim for another month, Y/N offered his assistance, but they kindly declined.

"I know some of you volunteered for this even if it was your first time." His voice was calm and soothing to the other guardians. "Just stay close to me or Leah and keep your aura up, you'll be fine."

"LAND HO!" Oliver shouted, obviously joking as the hull of his boat used a thick sheet of ice as a makeshift brake. "Never before seen dock, just as requested."

He leaned over a railing on an upper floor to inspect the wayfarers. "Best of luck, lads n' lass."

"Thank you, Oliver." Célian gave a small bow.

"Bahh!" The captain waved a dismissive hand. "Anything to me away from my dear old mother." He said dryly, he was joking of course. He did this out of plain old kindness, not to mention he collected fishing cages on his trip back. "Take care! Ya' bunch of nuts..."

Seeing him disappear into the bridge, the guardians worked to disembark by jumping from the deck to the ice down below.

With his entire kit assembled and double checked along with a neatly packed parachute, Y/N vaulted over the edge to join the others on a frozen ocean bed.

The thick ice didn't so much as crack when Y/N landed, it felt like solid concrete to him.

Turning back to the boat, Oliver wasted no time in leaving, he did however enthusiastically wave with his hat in the air.

The others waved back before begining their long journey.

Due to the lengths of security they took, every docking was in a different location, far from an actual path.

So now they worked to navigate the harsh tundra with Célian at the helm and Leah lagging behind to herd any stragglers. She looked up to Y/N with a bright smile beneath her hood, one he mildly returned.

With every breath Y/N took he was certain that without his aura his lungs woulda crystalize and burst. Death by drowning on his own blood didn't sound pleasant in the slightest.

Feeling the inevitable frost already forming on his facial hair, Y/N pulled his face cover up and above his nose. He sighed as he felt his gift now freezing over.

Better than nothing... thanks, Saphron.

Approaching one of the many mountains, Y/N took a series of deep breaths as he sized it up.

Natural barriers were a blessing in Remnant, but that also worked the other way around. The Grimm Saphron mentioned had no way of escaping, the possibilities of what lied ahead filled his mind.

With it's extremely remote location, there was a solid chance of discovering a new species, that much was certain.

"We're a dozen or so kilometers from the temple!" Célian shouted to everyone but Leah.

The distance was child's play to Y/N, but given the need to mantle an unknown number of mountains and detours it wouldn't be a straight shot for complete strangers. He now understood why they emphasized the ability to make the journey.
