Patch. Sienna wasn't sure what to expect from the little island off the coast of Vale, but what she found was most welcomed.

The air was cool and without a trace of humidity in the summer. But at the tail end of December, it was covered in a thin layer of snow that remained half melted.

Walking alongside Y/N in a thicket of trees, she heard the wind howling, becoming more and more free with an absence of the towering, bare giants.

Whatever what was in these woods, he wanted it to be a surprise to her, one he had apparently been working on for quite a while.

"It's just up ahead here." He told her.

And he was right, because up ahead the forest had suddenly stopped.

"Here it is." He sighed in content when they came into a wide open clearing without a tree in sight. "It's my land... ours now."

The land was flat, expertly excavated for a massive plot needed to construct a home, a home that was already underway with concrete and bricks layered in a solid foundation.

"Ozpin—my dad, he helped with all of this..."

Y/N took a knee to run his fingers through the rich soil in the ground, a perfect home for not only them, but for the eventual garden Sienna could continue.

"I hired a private company under a fake name to have this done. This is how far they got over the past few weeks... Doesn't look like much now, but they already have the water line ready with an electrical line back to town."

Sienna was speechless when he presented the dark soil to her, in a good way as well.

The view was beautiful with the Patch mountains covering the horizon, highlighting a distant river that came down to a not so distant lake.

The trees may have been bare now, but once covered, she was sure their rustling ocean of leaves would be like music to the ears.

"What do you think?" He asked softly.

What did she think? That was a simple question that had changed over the weeks.

Before, she considered this place a safe house location. A simple one off area they would never see again.

But now, now she could feel the connection Y/N had with it. The roots ran deep here, and so it wasn't an isolated safe house, but a beautiful safe haven to raise a child, to start a family.

It was soon to be home. Their home.

"I love it..." She swallowed the knot in her throat, yet still felt worried. "H-how much was all of this?? It must've been-"

"Don't worry about it." He told her with a low voice. "I've got it all handled."

He was confident, sure. The trust she had in him had gone beyond anything she thought possibly, so, she dropped it. If he said he had it handled, then he did.

The tigress pursed her lips in an attempt to fight the overwhelming emotion in her eyes, but the flood gates opened when he hooked his arms around the small of her back and pulled her close.

It was a dream come true for the man, like everything he had suffered against for so long had finally faded.

He was going to finally start a family, enjoy a home, and, eventually, when the dust all settled, raise a child he felt robbed of.

Umbra...
