Kross was filled with anxiousness as he looked into the mirror, fixing his bow tie. He didn't feel this nervous the night before knowing he would be meeting his soulmate at the alter. However, it was a comfortable level of anxiousness. He wanted everything to be perfect, for Destiny's sake; he knew how much their special day meant and he wanted to honor  that.

A few light knocks came at the door followed by his father, Jamal, entering the room. "You alright?" His father asked, looking over at his son as he finished adjusting the tie around his neck. "Yeah, I'm straight pops." Kross assured. He tried to level his nerves as he thought about watching the love of his life walk down the aisle.

"You looking sharp." Jamal took notice to the pastel-pink tuxedo his son wore. "Like father like son." Kross turned around, letting a light chuckle escape his mouth. The two left the private room, gathering with the rest of the groomsmen; Chance, Mario, Swift, and Darnell. Each individual looked well put together in the matching stone color suits they all wore.

"We should say a prayer before show time." Jamal suggested. Everyone bowed their heads, allowing him to lead the small prayer. "Heavenly Father, thank you for gathering us here today to witness the love of my dear son, Kross and his beautiful bride, Destiny. We thank you for keeping us all in good health and pray you continue to guide us. Amen."

Kross eyes fluttered open while he took a deep breath. "You ready my boy?" Chance questioned, standing beside his best friend. Kross shook his head, "More ready than I look." He told his best man honestly, laughing. The men did their final adjustments before leaving the suite.

Destiny ran her hand down the hem of her mermaid gown. She took a deep breath, looking at herself in the mirror. Her makeup was a done to a light glam since she wanted to look as natural as possible. She could feel the knots in her stomach as time grew closer.

"Des, you okay in there?" Deedra came knocking at the door. "Yeah... Yeah, I'll be right out." She replied. Taking a few more seconds to gather her mind and thoughts, she let out a exhale before leaving the room. Since the wedding was being held at an upscale hotel; both wedding parties had separate suites on different floors.

"Wow, Des." Deedra spoke, nearly speechless at how gorgeous her big sister looked in the floor-length nude dress. The gown had long lace sleeves with beads on the back and arms; as well as the front. Destiny looked like a princess straight out of a Disney fairytale.

"Thank you." She tried not to get emotional. "Your dress is absolutely stunning." Kayla chimed in, taking in each detail of the custom made gown. She'd never the dress prior to today and was actually glad her friend kept it a secret. "I see you didn't go with white." De'Lanice added.

"Well I didn't want to wear white because it symbolizes purity, and we all know that ship has sailed." Destiny chuckled. The girls laughed, appreciating her sense of humor although it was indeed true— besides, neither she or Kross wanted a traditional wedding. Cleo handed her the bouquet of pink roses before touching up her hair that was at a shoulder length bob and straightened to perfection.

"Okay, before things get all hectic; I want to say how deeply proud I am of you big sister. You're a true Queen, and I admire you in more ways than I'll admit. You and Kross are meant to be. Congratulations, again." Deedra voiced.

Destiny gave her sister a warm hug, "Thank you. I love you." She whispered. As if on cue, a knock came at the door. De'Lanice let the girls know that it was time to get the show on the road, according to Yelena, the wedding planner. Destiny nodded, watching her bridal party exit the suite behind one another.

She toyed with the two-toned Rose gold bangle on her left wrist, a small smiled printed across her face. Kross had surprised her the night before with different bouquets of red roses and Dahlias; as well as the bangle engraved with a special message.

"He's a lucky man." A deep voice spoke, standing beside her as she waited in the hallway. She turned to face the familiar voice with a smirk. "Why, I would hope so." She joked. "You look beautiful." Dontae admired everything about her appearance for a split second.

"Thank you. And thank you for walking me down the aisle today." She slipped him a toothy smile. "Anything for my Des-licious." He grinned. Her own father died months ago and wasn't deserving of walk his own daughter down the aisle on her special day. When she asked Dontae if he would be open to give her away; he honestly didn't think twice about accepting the offer. Though they never worked out romantically; he truly has love for Destiny and always would.

"I'm honored." He said proudly, allowing her to lock her arm in his. All eyes were on her as she walked down the pink rose covered aisle. Her heart fluttered with each step she took— getting closer to Kross.

When they finally stood across from one another they stared deeply into each other's eyes. Kross was lost for words seeing her stand across from him, looking effortlessly gorgeous. Reverend Eli began the ceremony as the guests listened and watched from their seats. "And now the couple will exchange their vows to one another."

"I'm not good at writing my feelings on paper," Kross spoke aloud, laughing. "So, I'm just gonna speak from the heart." He cleared his throat, "For whatever reason, fate has chosen to delay this union several times. But I believe that everything does have a reason. My life had been incomplete when I met you. It became more so when I did and today completes that journey. I promise to be the best man that I can be for you and our family. You have brought out the very best in me and I promise you that I will not falter in my love for you or my life with you. If my children are the light of my life, you are the sky to which I wake every morning. You are much more than a partner, but rather the soul that makes me whole. I give you all of me— today, tomorrow, and every day after that." He expressed.

Destiny sniffled as a single tear could be seen rolling down her cheek. She took a deep breath, taking the piece of paper from Cleo. "From the moment our paths crossed— you've surprised me, distracted me, captivated me, and challenged me in ways that no human being has ever. I've fallen in love with you again and again, countless times without reservation; and I still can't can't believe that today I get to marry my other half. I vow to be true to you, to uplift and support you. To frustrate and challenge you, and to share the beautiful moments of life with you. I believe in the truth of what we are, and I will love you always... with every beat of my heart."

As they exchanged rings many of their guests were wiping tears. There was no denying the love between Destiny and Kross. "I now pronounce you, Husband and Wife." Reverend Eli announced. The now married couple locked lips, embracing each other in a deep, wet kiss.

After the ceremony everyone gathered for the reception. The couple got called to the dance floor for their first dance. "Every Kind of Way" by H.E.R pumped through the speakers as smoke from the fog machine could be seen traveling. Kross embraced his wife in a tight hug, holding her waist as they swayed side to side while the song continued to play.

Destiny inhaled his woodsy scent, resting her head on his chest. She felt safe and secure in his hold. Love has never been the easiest thing, however all her feelings came naturally when it was with Kross Jackson. There was no doubt. She was now complete officially becoming Mrs. Jackson.
