Destiny applied the strip lashes, being sure to stick them perfectly in place above her eyelid. From the bed, Kross sat up with Kaleb on his chest while he watched the basketball game. Tonight, Destiny is going out with Kayla for her birthday. She planned to have a couple drinks to loosen up. She has a lot on her mind and just wants to forget about it all for one night.

After finishing her makeup, she got up from the vanity, walking into the closet. She was still indecisive about which outfit to wear. She grabbed both outfits from the closet, walking into the bedroom. "Which one?" She asked Kross, holding both of them in her hands. He held his finger under his chin, looking at both outfits. "That one." He pointed to the white over sized t-shirt and black leather pants. She smiled.

She dropped her robe, putting on her clothes piece by piece. When she was finished, Kross eyed her with lust. He wanted to tear the clothes off her body and have his way with her. "Damn. You look fine as fuck." He said, looking her up and down. She blushed, flipping her curly hair behind her shoulder. "Thanks, babe." She cheesed.

Destiny and Kross said their goodbyes before she left the house. She got in her Jeep, typing the address Kayla sent her into her GPS. She took note that the ride was only twenty-minutes. Strapping in her seat belt, she pulled out the driveway. Thanks to no traffic, she drove down the highway without a worry.

She made it to the club, parking in a free space. She pulled out her iPhone, dialing Kayla's number. She picked up on the first ring.
"Hey, girl. Where are you?" Kayla asked. The loud music in the background told Destiny that Kayla was already inside. "I'm in the parking lot." Destiny spoke from her end. "Okay. I'll meet you at the front entrance." Kayla said.
"Cool." Destiny nodded, hanging up.

She grabbed her clutch, getting out the Jeep. She made it through security, walking into the all-male dancers club. The vibe was different. There were a lot of men and a handful of ladies here. "Hey!" Kayla came over, hugging Destiny. "Happy birthday!" Destiny told her over the loud music. Kayla thanked her, leading the way to the table.

"Destiny, this is my cousin, Jazmine." Kayla introduced the two girls. "Hi, nice to meet you!" Destiny gave the beautiful dark-skinned girl a small smile. "You too! I love your outfit!"
"Thanks girl! You are beyond gorgeous." Jazmine complimented. "And she has a man." Kayla interjected. Jazmine looked Destiny up and down before rolling her eyes at her cousin.
"My bad." Jazmine smirked.

Destiny looked away, getting a look at the naked guy who danced on the pole. She looked away laughing. "He might be gay, but he's definitely packing." Kayla snickered. They ordered a round of shots to their table while waiting for Kayla's other friend to show up.

When the patron shots made it to their reserved table, their girls wasted no time chugging them. They did this until they were about five rounds in. "Hey. Sorry I'm late." A voice spoke, hugging Kayla. Destiny turned around, scoffing. "You've got to be kidding me" she said under her breath.
"Are you ever on time, Monique?" Kayla questioned with a slight change of attitude in her mood.

"I hate to wait on my granny to come home and watch Majesty." Monique explained before directing her attention to Destiny, who she wasn't expecting to see. "Hey, Destiny." Monique gave her a faint smile. "Hi." Destiny spoke dryly.
"You two each other?" Kayla asked.

"We do." Monique spoke up over the music playing. "Something like that." Destiny came off nonchalant with her response. Kayla sensed the weird vibe between the two, but decided to ignore it because this was her night. The girls began dancing on one other to the beat of the song that currently pumped through the club speakers.

Destiny then took it upon herself to order more rounds of shots although she was already lit. "I'm glad I came. This is so fun!" She said into Kayla's ear. Kayla nodded, grinding her hips on Destiny. "It's my mother fucking birthday!" Kayla yelled, all the way intoxicated.

"Kay, you better get up on this table and show out." Destiny pointed. She helped her friend safely onto the table, watching Kayla shake her ass like a professional. "Yes bitch!" Destiny cheered her on, throwing dollar bills at her.

"Dang. Kay is cutting up." Monique pointed out. Jazmine laughed, watching Kayla shake her ass on the table. "It's her night. She's loving it how she should." Jazmine reminded. "I know. But, you know she can't hold her liquor." Monique said. Jazmine rolled her eyes, already becoming annoyed with Monique's unnecessary comments.
"This why nobody invite your annoying ass out." Jazmine told her, not giving a damn if her feeling were to be hurt.

Monique scoffed, "Forget it then, Jaz." She finished the rest of her virgin drink, resting the glass on the table. "I'm ready to go." Monique told Kayla as she got down from the table. "Y-Yeah! We should g-go!"Kayla's words slightly slurred. Destiny checked the time on her cellphone, seeing 2:45am printed across her screen.

The girls split the tab before leaving the club. "You sure you good to drive?" Jazmine questioned Destiny while helping a drunk Kayla into the backseat of her car. "I'm good." Destiny nodded, walking over to her Jeep. She got inside, resting her head on the steering wheel. A few short moments later, she pulled off.

As Destiny drove down the highway, her mind was all over the place. She thought about the incident with Quan. She thought about her family. Unpleasant memories came rushing back, bringing her to tears. Instead of getting off at the usual exit, she continued driving. Thirty-minutes later, she sat outside, parked in front her mamas house.

She removed her keys from the ignition, walking over to the front door. She could see the kitchen lights on from the window, so she banged on the door loud. Trina quickly swung the door open in a night gown. "Destiny, baby, is everything alright?" Her mother questioned, worried.
"Where is he?" Destiny asked, brushing past her.

She walked into the living room, locking eyes with her father. "Ah, just the man I wanted to see." Destiny smacked her thigh, chuckling. "It's late. Did you drive all the way over here alone?" He asked, standing up from the sofa. "I came here to confront you, dad." She said. All the drinking she'd been doing gave her courage.

"Des, what is this about?" Trina questioned, confused. "Remember when I turned eight and daddy started taking me on his fishing trips?" She asked her mother. "He said I was the only one out of the four of us who was ready. So, of course, me being a daddy's girl, I get all excited to spend the weekend fishing with my daddy." Her voice cracked.

"Except, we didn't fish." She turned back to look at her father. "You raped me, daddy. You took my innocence before I could even understand what it was. I was only eight!" She shouted, tears fell from her eyes. Courtney, her father, looked speechless. "Stop it. Stop it right now!" Trina raised her voice.

"Destiny, you're father is sick!" Her mother disclosed. "Yeah, sick in the head. And you're just as sick for not taking the time out to listen to your daughter when she tried to tell you." Destiny spoke, hurt. "I have stage three brain cancer, Des." Courtney voiced. Destiny scoffed, crossing her arms. "Looks like god's doing his job." She looked at her father with cold eyes.

She looked Trina and Courtney up and down in disgust before walking out the door, slamming it behind her. Destiny thought she could let it out, leave it all with him, but it didn't work. Instead, she was contemplating on whether or not to feel sympathy for her dying father.
