Taylor:

It had almost been two months since Taylor last experienced freedom. As time went on, her bipolar disorder started taking a toll on her; as she wasn't taking her prescribed medication nor the street ones. She stopped eating whatever bit of food James provided her with. Taylor was back in that place—the dark place of unhappiness.

She didn't feel of much use since she was kept in a four by six room with a very uncomfortable mattress and a bucket that she was authorized to use if she needed to handle her business. From the next room, James watched her on the security cameras he had installed. He's taken notice to her lack of energy and not wanting to intake a meal he offered.

He even took notice to her not asking him questions all the time despite the fact of him always telling her never to question him. Letting out a heavy sigh, he grabbed the turkey sandwich from the table beside him, leaving the room. Using the key in his hand, he unlocked the door. Taylor didn't bother to look up or acknowledge his presence.

"Eat." He spoke, holding out the sandwich along with a bottle of water in his hand. Taylor still didn't bother to budge; she continued staring at the white wall that was in need of a good scrubbing. James left the sandwich and bottle of water on the floor beside the mattress before turning around to leave.

Hearing his foot steps get closer to the door, Taylor shot up from the mattress. "Hey! James." She called. He stopped in his tracks, slowly turning around to face Taylor—who now seemed in the mood to converse. "What did you mean when you said I'm just collateral damage?" She questioned.

There was a long moment of silence. "I never had a father growing up." His deep voice stated, "I'm dangerous. Everybody that ever gets too close to me...dies." He looked at nothing in particular. "I thought I was doing right by being their for my daughter. I wanted her to have the father I never did." His voice cracked; causing him to clear his throat.

Taylor was shocked by his openness. This was the most she's ever gotten out of him. "Y-You have a daughter?" She asked, getting off the cold mattress. "Eat your food and get some sleep." He told her, turning away to finally leave the room. Although he didn't give her much, it was a start.

Now that Taylor knew about his daughter; she was going to use it to her advantage. This was it—her way out. She was going to make sure that not her disorder nor James would stop that.
