Min Tae Gu's meeting with the art dealer was moved up to mid-week, which caused Baek Jang-mi some stress. "Do you think we should be concerned?" she asked.

"It doesn't seem like it. I think they just want to move the piece quickly," Min Tae Gu said. "If this goes through, I could get more deals."

"There will be agents with you, yes?" She asked.

"Of course. Are you worried about me, Jang-mi-ah?"

Trying to mask her concern, she told a partial truth. "I am. I haven't had sex this good in years. I'm not ready to lose it yet."

He chuckled. Leaning forward on the couch to kiss her nose, he assured, "I'll be fine. I don't want you to worry."

"Okay, I won't."

Still, she did. Baek Jang-mi did not let her guard down at work because the last thing she wanted to do was have Min Tae Gu distracted if she were harmed. However, once she was home, she paced around, checking her watch once in a while wondering if her was on his way back.

"Please let him be safe," she muttered.

She had a light dinner, showered and yet he was nowhere to be found. Heading to the basement, she took out her knives and started target practice to keep her mind focused.

"Let's pretend you're the threat," she said to the dartboard in front of her. "And you're trying to harm him."

She threw a small knife which landed right in the middle. "That's what you get if you cross me. I told you. I'm not fully satisfied yet."

Whoosh!

Bull's eye.

"I hope I'm not the target."

Baek Jang-mi immediately turned and pointed her knife on the neck of the newcomer.

"Hi," Min Tae Gu said, unfazed but unmoving because he knew how sharp she kept her weapons. "It's me."

"Oh my god," she gasped. Dropping the knife, she jumped in his arms, not caring about her weight on him. Holding him tightly with both arms and legs around him, she whispered, "You're safe."

"I am. I told you not to worry," he reminded, stroking her back.

"Don't flatter yourself. I was just thinking about who will prepare my lunch for tomorrow," she grumbled, but refused to let go. "Am I heavy?"

"A little," he joked.

"Tough luck," she returned, tightening her grip on him as he carried her to their living room.

When they were back upstairs, she asked about his meeting. "I'm getting a few art pieces and jewellery. Questionable sources but small enough for us to move it without alerting the regulators. If I move this, I think they'll give us the bigger items."

They were now seated on the couch with her still straddling him, caressing his face as he talked, as if she reassuring herself that he was really home.

"How was your day?" he asked.

"The ahjummas and I are having a staycation after visiting your shop on Friday. Do you think the agents will allow it? It would be my first slumber party," she shared.

"Let Agent Kim know where you're staying so that they can post agents around," he reminded her.

"I already have," she said. "But they said they want to check the place out first." A pout forming because Agent Kim did not reply with a definitive yes.
