A/N: Hi! My internet is still down so I'm editing this on my phone. :-) Please know that I loved Ma Jo-Goo's character in the movie (though I had issues how he pressured Yeo-ri to come out of hiding at the beginning) but I really like him so here he's not a bad villain. Just a very remorseful ex.

This is a long filler chapter but needed to transition to the next.

Few chapters left for Spellbound! Thank you to those still reading this.

Kang Yeo-ri never held any grudge against Ma Jo-Goo for the break up. She understood him and his reasons. Lately, she had even less to be mad at and more to be thankful for because that heartbreak eventually led to meeting and falling in love with Jung Ji-ho.

How can she be mad at that heartbreak when it brought her such a good person? Someone who was patient and accepting of her shortcomings when it came to relationships and willing to guide her through it? Someone who filled her heart with so much joy that she looked forward to everyday with him? Someone who accepted that she lived with ghosts and is working with her to make it a happy co-existence?

However, because he interrupted their make up / make out session, she was borderline annoyed. Yeo-ri had a handsome boyfriend she liked kissing. Anyone would understand that she would be a little pissed off, right?

Except that he said there was a spirit haunting him. Sitting at the outdoor dining set because Ma Jo-Goo always found the house creepy, Yeo-ri asked him to tell her about the encounter because it may provide some clues on how to get the spirit off Ji-ho's back.

Jung Ji-ho offered to make them tea but Yeo-ri stopped him. "Please join us. I think it would be important for you to hear this, too."

Ji-ho nodded. "I'll be back soon."

While he was gone, Yeo-ri looked at Ma Jo-Goo and noted his hands shook from fear. "It's okay, Jo-Goo-ssi. Do you want me to make you laugh? I can make those frog sounds I did before?"

"I'd like the 3rd way to overcome fear," Ma Jo-Goo replied.

Yeo-ri stammered.

Ji-ho walked in and swooped Ma Jo-Goo into a hug. "Receive comfort. It's okay, Ma Jo-Goo-ssi. You're okay now."

Kang Yeo-ri's jaw dropped before she started giggling. "He gives good hugs. Don't fall in love with him. He's mine," she reminded Ma Jo-Goo.

When they were all seated, Yeo-ri asked Ma Jo-Goo about the spirit. "I met this guy on the plane, briefly, while we were flying back to Seoul. Then, I bumped into him a few times here. The next thing I know, he was showing up randomly and I knew, from seeing your ghosts before, he was like that." He then went on to describe the ghost.
