A/N: Happy Saturday everyone! I received messages that there was no notification for Part 2. I'm not sure why and what happened with Wattpad so I'm sorry about that. This chapter may be a bit confusing as King Jeongjo slowly gets his memories back, the storytelling keeps shifting timelines from past to present.

---

Jeongjo stood at the dock waiting for a particular ship.

They had met twice before. She had agreed to a meal, a drink and spending a few days with him to get to know each other... only for her to run a the soonest possible time that she could escape.

"Why does it matter so much to you that you know her more? She is a pirate," his closest friend and most loyal ally, Kim Ja-joon, asked. "Instead of dating her, you should be putting her in prison."

King Jeongjo turned. "Dating?! I merely want to know why she has chosen this trade and how one gets to that point of choosing a life of crime instead of decent work. Is it not worthy information? Perhaps I am not doing well as a King if our citizens are not provided what they need."

Kim Ja-joon nodded. The point made was fair and unsurprising because he had known his King to take his responsibilities as leader seriously, in spite of his often cheeky attitude that would betray otherwise. That said, Kim Ja-joon had known this same man as a friend he had grown up with from when they were little boys creating mischief in the palace. "So, the fact that she is exactly your type does not come into play in this noble duty of yours."

King Jeongjo gave Kim Ja-joon an innocent look. "What? What do you mean my type? When have I liked beautiful almond-shaped, dark eyes, a high-bridged strong nose, the reddest plump lips stories that deserve a long poem on and the prettiest hands a woman had ever had? You must be mistaken, my friend."

Kim Ja-joon snorted. "I guess there is nothing for me to worry about. She doesn't seem to fall for your charms anyway."

Jeongjo's eyes widened. "She doesn't like me? How could you tell such lies!"

"You think she likes you?" Kim Ja-joon challenged.

"Why else would she run?" King Jeongjo asked, exasperatedly before declaring, "She cannot stand being so close to someone so handsome."

Kim Ja-joon snorted.

Watching the ship dock, he saw said woman approach the side and start yelling, "GO AWAY! CAN'T YOU LEAVE ME ALONE?! LEAVE OR I WILL KILL YOU AS SOON AS I AM DOWN THERE!"

Kim Ja-joon tapped his friend's shoulder. "You are correct. She seems desperately in love with you."

King Jeongjo now sat with Captain Yeo Wol in a small table inside her cabin where they were sharing tea. "Why did you keep running away from me?"
