"This man is unfamiliar to me. But the way he's moving to get closer to the person... he was probably taught by Kang Man-ok."

Kang Jin-tae watched the video along with Baek Jang-mi and studied the things she pointed out.

"He's not taking anything. He seems to be... placing something there," she said, wondering if she saw it clearly. "See? There's something in his hand when he removed it from his jacket. And look at all his targets, they have some form of bags. He never once picked from a pocket."

Kang Jin-tae took notes.

Continuing to watch the footage, she mused, "But drugs... we've partnered up with some groups before but rarely have I ever seen this scheme. It's too dangerous. The items could end up on innocent people's bags."

"Do you recall which groups you've partnered up with?" Kang Jin-tae asked.

"Not so much. I didn't do the deals directly. But... I recall... Richard Min. He has a lot of connections. I only saw him from afar but never met him," Baek Jang-mi shared.

Kang Jin-tae frowned. They already knew of Richard Min a.k.a. Min Tae Gu but drugs were not on his menu of crimes. "I don't think Mr. Min does drug deals."

"I didn't say he did," Jang-mi called out. "I said he had a lot of connections." Something on the video caught her eye, prompting her to ask, "Oh! There's my ex! Stupid man. Can you shoot him?"

"Yah! We don't shoot people randomly," the detective informed her.

"He's a terrible criminal. You still can't? Even just the hand? Break all his bones there?" Baek Jang-mi inquired. Giving Kang Jin-tae a judging look, she commented, "Seems like a sucky job to me."

"Yah! Do you want to get out of here or not? Stop making side comments that might get you in trouble," Kang Jin-tae reminded her. To another detective, he asked, "Are you sure we're going to let her out? Seems like a dangerous person for our streets."

Baek Jang-mi rolled her eyes at the cop. "Once I get out of here, I'm going to be the most law abiding citizen so I won't see you anymore." Staring at the video footage of her ex, she swore, "And I'm never falling for a criminal again. Mark my words. NEVER. NEVER!"

Im Cheol-Ryung collapsed in bed as soon as they arrived. He had a headache from everything that went on during the day, on top of the upcoming drug bust they were planning.

"You haven't had dinner," Ha Chae Yoon commented.

"Neither have you," he pointed out.

"I know. Rest. I'll call for delivery then join you in bed while we wait," she stated. Ha Chae Yoon sorted their food out quickly then lay beside him. He was still pinching the bridge of his nose so she asked him to lay on her lap so she can massaged his head. "Better?"

He nodded. His arm worked its way to wrap around her waist before he spoke. "Thank you for this."

"You have two choices. None of them involve breaking up so best to get that off your mind," she said, gently. "First, we can talk about what's troubling you and get that out of the way."

"Or?"

"We'll talk about something else first to give you a break because you look like you need it," she pointed out. "Let's play that game with random questions."

Im Cheol-Ryung stared at her. He couldn't begin to articulate how grateful he was that she was here now. To think that he even thought of ending things with her made his heart hurt now but he was glad that she saw through it, pushed that out of the way and decided to stay with him. He still felt like he was in the dark but now had a path to the light.
