A/N: a couple of chapters left as I think I may have bored you guys 😅 don't worry closing this out already. Thanks for reading this! Enjoy this part and I will be posting another update tonight! :-)

"Look at this."

Min Tae Gu was reading through the documents Kang Yeo-ri gathered over the weeks they had gone around the city to search for clues. Pulling up a photo of the suspected missing items, he saw a beautiful diamond pendant.

"I've seen this before. Pyo Chi Su told me a customer came in a few days ago with this trying to pawn it at our shop," Min Tae Gu shared with Baek Jang-mi.

"You have it?"

"As a collateral for a loan, yes," Min Tae Gu said. "I told Pyo Chi Su to contact the client and reverse the transaction immediately because I had doubts about the papers submitted on ownership. I wanted to alert the detective as well but didn't know want to stress him too much since he hasn't fully recovered yet."

Baek Jang-mi also heard for the first time that Min Tae Gu got a visit from the evil spirit. "What?! Why didn't you tell me this?"

Min Tae Gu brushed it off. "Because no evil spirit will scare me."

"Darling! Yeo-ri told me it choked Ji-ho! I don't want that spirit to harm you!" Jang-mi said.

"It didn't! Well, it tried," Tae Gu conceded. "I saw it wrapping its hands around my neck but I turned and spat in its face." Min Tae Gu also cussed the spirit into oblivion and warned it never to come near him again "Or else I will make your life in hell worse."

Jang-mi sighed. "You're so hot."

Min Tae Gu puffed his chest and looked like he just won the lottery. The ghost was creepy, sure, but he had dealt with a lot more unsavoury living people to be too shocked with ghosts. However, having his wife sigh and look at him like she was going to eat him was worth some embellishments in the story. "That ghost can't scare me. Pfft. Who does he think he's dealing with?!"

Baek Jang-mi kissed him hard and was soon seated on the desk in front of him. Before he could dive under her skirt though, she asked, "Wait, do you think we could find the identity of the customer who pawned the pendant?"

"I think we can check the CCTV tomorrow," he offered.

"Good idea. We can see if there's a connection to the magician," Baek Jang-mi said before losing her train of thought because Min Tae Gu has already started doing things to her.

The following day, they found that the man who pawned the jewelry... was Ma Jo-Goo's assistant.

"Are you tired?"

Jung Ji-ho looked at Kang Yeo-ri to check if she was doing alright at the trail. They decided to sign up for different activities in Jeju and on their second day they were doing trekking.

Kang Yeo-ri declared that they would have a lot of sex but surprisingly they were doing a lot of different activities — parasailing, kayaking, visiting museums and now they were trekking. In the middle of all those, they were exploring different local restaurants and food particular to this part of the country.

They were finding a lot of differences between them but instead of putting each other off their partner, they teased each other and noted their preferences for the next place they went to.

Ji-ho unsurprisingly was more adventurous with the sports activities but he was much more cautious when it was Yeo-ri who was trying out the sport. He wanted her to experience things, but he also didn't want her to get hurt.
