Personal Taste - 3

A/N: Like I mentioned on Twitter, writing about characters who cheated in their past really makes me nervous because I dislike stories on cheating. However, I wanted this challenge for me to sort out the storyline in their respective movies (no disrespect to those who liked the movies) and because I do believe in second chances. Thank you so much for indulging me and for sending encouraging words. I appreciate all of you!

For this and the succeeding parts, please know that I am not a psychologist so please forgive me if the consultation part is inaccurate in terms of the medical requirements. I will not attempt to diagnose Joo In-ah here.

"Calm down, Joo In-ah-ssi."

Dr. Kang Yoona asked her to sit so that their session could officially start. Once Joo In-ah was on the couch, the doctor took out her records and started taking notes. "What seems to be the issue?"

"There's this man in my office," Joo In-ah started, taking deep breaths to calm herself. "He's very attractive and he's my type."

"Okay. Continue?"

"He's making me feel things and I am horribly attracted to him and think of erotic dreams I haven't had in a long time," In-ah confessed. "I remember having these desires all the time when I was younger. I don't know him so I know this is really just physical. Lust. These were the exact desires that got me into trouble, Doctor."

"Joo In-ah, we have been having regular sessions over the years. We've identified your prior issues and you've been working hard to address them, yes?" Dr. Kang reminded her.

"Yes, I know and I haven't had these feelings before. But lately... it's come roaring back," In-ah told her, feeling desperate. "I worry that I'm going to give into them again and create chaos in lives again. I don't want to do that, Doc."

Leaning back, Joo In-ah stared at the ceiling. "But why does he have to be so handsome? And so hot... that body... huuuuuu!" she muttered, fanning herself. "He oozes sex appeal. I sometimes feel like he walks into a room, breaths and then I'm going to climax."

Dr. Kang held back a chuckle. She knew men like that and understood how Joo In-ah would have trouble keeping her desires in check.

"But this is lust. I know. I know because we barely talked and there's nothing there to say that it's love. So okay," In-ah repeated as she sat up. "I can keep lust in check."

Dr. Kang nodded. "Attraction is normal," the doctor reminded her.

Joo In-ah nodded. "I know. I just want to make sure I make good decisions about it this time around."

"Good," Dr. Kang affirmed. "Your issues before were on over indulgence and it's good to be aware of that. However, remember that stifling things won't be any better."

Joo In-ah shared some more of what was going on with her life before the session was up. Still early in the evening, she rushed to catch the subway so that she could soak in a nice warm bath at home.
