"Did you hear about Konner Sutton's party tonight?"

"Yeah but who the fuck cares? I mean, now that we aren't in school, there's parties every night."

"True." Boo opens the door to the mall and we walk in. "So, what are you getting Ayla for Christmas?" He asks as we pass a jewelry store.

I haven't told anyone I slept with Ayla yet. I wanted to hold on to the moment for myself and marvel in it before I tell anyone and they ruin it.

"I'll probably just give her my dick again." I say ruthless and smirking.

Boo stops dead in his tracks, I stop walking a few feet away, turn and look at him with a bored expression.

His mouth is parted and his eyes look like they're about to fall out of his fucking head. "You had sex with Ayla?!" Boo just about yells.

I rush over to him and cover his mouth with my right hand. The people around us, look at us like they never heard of two people having sex before.

"Jesus Christ, Boo. Keep your fucking voice down. You don't need to tell the whole damn mall." I harshly whisper. Boo nods, I slowly drop my hand, turn the way I was headed and continue walking.

Boo catches up to me and walks beside me on my left. "Bro, you know what this means, right?" I shrug my shoulders. I know exactly what it means, I'm not a fucking idiot. I keep my focus straight ahead. "It means you won the bet." Boo exclaims excitingly.

"Oh, yeah, right." I say in a bored, dull tone. Not taking my stare off from straight ahead of us.

"Dude, how are you not excited, Kain? I mean, you finally won the bet, you finally did it with Ayla, plus you won money. I'd say that's a win-win situation." Boo beams proudly, like he won the bet instead of me.

I probably would be just as excited as Boo if it were my first time doing this. But it's not. I've done this same thing before. This time is different though, I didn't love the girl like I do with Ayla. I actually really do love her.

I just shrug my shoulders, not saying a word. Boo nudges me with his elbow, "So,... how was she?" He winks and smiles.

No one can know my true feelings about her. Growing up, Davis burned it into me that love is a sign of weakness. And we must never show it or tell it. I've never heard Davis say 'I love you' to anyone, maybe to my Mom but never to me. This one time, when I was a kid, Davis asked me which of my toys I loved the most. I told him it was a G.I Joe action figure. Davis took that toy, threw it in the fireplace and he made me watch it melt, I started crying and he slapped me in the face. He said 'Don't show your love towards anything in this world, love is a weakness and it'll eat you alive. Nothing in this world is worth loving. You're better off without it and keep your focus on something important. Besides, you're not worth being loved.'

That stuck with me after all these years, so I tell Boo. "Tight. At first but you know I had to stretch her out."

"Thatta boy!" Boo slaps me on the back then walks into the Nike store.
