-Draco's POV-

Emptiness I felt on my side made me wake up, only to find that Y/n wasn't next to me.

She might be in the dining room with my mother, eating breakfast and talking about the news from the Daily Prophet. I would sometimes catch them talking about the Headlines of the Daily Prophet and it's truly admiring, seeing her having a good relationship with my mother and calling my mother "mother" too.

I yawned, got out of the bed and walked out of her bedroom to go down to the dining room, expecting to see my mother and my wife, talking about the Daily Prophet that my mother was reading. I knew how much my mother loves hearing my wife's opinion about the headlines.

But...

As I got down the stairs...

I saw my mother pacing back and forth in the Entrance Hall, holding a piece of paper. She looks anxious, scared and unhappy.

She stopped when she saw me coming downstairs.

I walked closer to her, concerned, as she stared at me like she had seen a ghost.

"Mother, why are you frantically pacing around?"

She did not say a word and just handed me the paper from her hand.

"What's this?" I gave her a questioning look and looked upon the paper.

My hands trembled, my heart began to throb, and tears swelled in my eyes.

I could not believe that the paper I was holding right now was- was the—

Was the Divorce Paper with her signature on it.

"I'm sorry Draco. Her father- Her father wants you to sign it. He didn't want his daughter to be involved with the Dark wizards." My mother looked at me, apologetically. "He forbade you to see her let alone be with her."

I couldn't utter any words. I was devastated and I couldn't process anything that is happening the first thing in the morning.

Her words...Her words last night when she told me that she'll love even though we are apart. She meant this...her father taking her away from me.

I sat down on the side of the bed, looking at its emptiness where she would lay down, hugging me.

The Manor feels cold without her sunshine. The manor feels empty without her. It's like everything just went dull.

I have no one to lean on when I feel gloomy. I have no one to embrace when I needed warmth, her presence. I have no one to see whenever I wake up in the morning. All I see now is an empty side beside me. I was used to it before, seeing my bed empty, but now...I wasn't. I miss her.

Her plush bear on the side table caught my attention with a letter on it, folded only once.

I took it and quickly opened it.

My dearest love,

I know that when you wake up today in the morning, you will find yourself alone and that I wasn't right beside you in your arms. Leaving you upsets me, but I couldn't do anything when it comes to my father. Please do not take any grudge towards him.

Do please take care of my Plush bear and hug it whenever you miss me, hug it as if my presence were there, hug with all the love you have given me. I have left it for you.

Draco, love, my beloved...

Know that even though the widest sea had separates us, my care and my love for you will be forever.

I love you, Draco.

Your beloved,
Y/n Auclair-Malfoy

Tears started to flow down again from my eyes. My emotions were mixed with happiness and sadness.

She truly loves me...and I promised to myself that I'll come back for her when the war ends even though it means going through a lot. I just want her with me.

I love her deeply and I will never let anyone keep us apart.
