Kevin exited his bedroom and made his way towards the kitchen for his morning coffee. His white pajama shirt was slightly rumpled from sleep, but his usual perfect hair was still in place. Just before he reached the kitchen, he saw Steve seated at the dining table, a steaming cup of tea in his hand and a coffee cup sitting beside him smell of freshly brewed coffee wafted from a cup, and Kevin could feel the steam from the coffee which indicated how hot it was. Kevin noticed the odd intensity of Steve's black eyes and messy hair, and the unkempt black shirt that hung loosely around his shoulders. His long fingers held the cup lightly as if it were a fragile object that could break at any moment.
"Have your coffee," Steve said, gesturing to the cup.
"You're already up? Why didn't you wake me as well?" Kevin asked as he took his place beside Steve. "It's still early, and I knew that after our talk last night, you wouldn't be able to get much sleep," Steve replied
Kevin touched the cup and his eyes went to the small note on the table. He read it, "Mira is with me for her safety, so don't worry about her - Albus Dumbledore". He looked at Steve, who had leaned back in his chair "He took her away last night," Steve said, almost as if he could read Kevin's mind
Kevin sighed, knowing it was a lie if he said he wasn't worried about his only daughter.
"Is she safe?" Kevin asked, despite himself. Steve leaned back in his chair and sighed lightly. "According to me, yes. But recent events have made it necessary for me to take action." He looked up at Kevin, and for a moment, their eyes met in a silent understanding. Steve stood up, reaching out to touch Kevin lightly on the arm. "I have to leave now," he said, "But don't worry. I'll take care of everything." He smiled at Kevin warmly, Kevin's gaze followed Steve until he disappeared from vision going back to his bedroom.

...

In the black house.
Mira walked down the stairs to the dining room, seeing Ginny, Hermione, Ron, Lupin, Tonks, Sirius, Fred and George, and Mrs. Weasley seated around the table with serious faces. Tonks smiled as she noticed Mira, "Good morning, Mira," she said, but Mrs. Weasley stepped in quickly.
"H How... and when did she get here?" she asked directing her question at Lupin and Tonks. All the people gathered there looked at Mira with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion.
"Dumbledore took her with him last night," Sirius answered lazily, "Dementor's problem." before Mrs. Weasley could even ask why.
Mrs. Weasley frowned and then nodded.
Lupin beckoned her over calmly, "Come, Vain. Take a seat."
"Call me Mira, sir," she said, looking at Lupin.
Lupin nodded. "You can also call me Remus or Lupin," he said.
Mira pulled out a chair next to George and sat down
"Are you okay, Mira?" George asked her, Fred followed up with, "Did they attack you?"
Mira shook her head. "I'm alright, they didn't attack me. Actually, I didn't leave my home at all when I saw them outside," she explained.
"Did Harry go to his hearing?" Mira asked politely.
Mrs. Weasley nodded, her voice not sounding kind at all. "Yes, he went for his hearing."
Mira couldn't help but feel a little put-off. It was clear that Mrs. Weasley didn't like her presence there. She tried to ignore her attitude.
Mrs. Weasley nodded curtly before gesturing to the kitchen. "Everyone's had their breakfast, so help yourself."
'Thank you for your kindness, mam," Mira said with a small smile, although inside she felt uncomfortable with Mrs. Weasley's manner of speaking.
"Mira I will help you for making breakfast," Tonks beamed with enthusiasm.
"That's a good idea but not now," Mira smiled at Tonks, "I'm not feeling hungry."
At this, George leaned close and whispered into Mira's ear. "Don't mind my mother. She is just worried for Harry and I think she read that article that Rita Skeeter wrote about you and Hermione." Mira's eyes widened in understanding. "Now I see the reason," she said, a small smile on her lips. Glancing up at George, a relieved, but grateful, expression graced her face. "I'm glad you are here.", "Beckon, Mira," Tonks called, "I've chosen a room for you, but you have to clean it by yourself. We are all busy these days, after all.", "Yes, of course, I'll do it," came her reply. Tonks took her up to the upper floor and pointed out a room, which appeared to be small and dusty with the walls painted in black and green. A bed was in the middle with a dressing table at one corner and a small, empty table at the other. A window was present on one side. "Fred, George," Tonks said, turning to the twins. "Help Mira with the cleaning, please. You can use your magic as freely here." The twins eagerly agreed and immediately started making preparations for the cleaning. Mira watched in amazement as the room was transformed within a few minutes with hardly any effort, but felt a little silly for not cleaning it herself like she had planned to do before they offered the help. She decided to finish up the rest herself as she closed the door. When they left.
That's when she felt a presence behind her. Mira immediately spun around and saw Steve standing there in a black shirt and pants. His pale skin was in sharp contrast with his dark eyes and the smirk that had formed on his lips sent a chill down her spine.
"Are you about to play maid maid?" He asked sarcastically as if he knew what she was planning to do.
Mira couldn't help but roll her eyes.
"I don't like it that Dumbledore brought you here without consulting your dad," he said as he walked closer to her
"How did you even get here?" Mira asked him when he stopped in front of her.
"I have my ways," he replied. "By the way, are you alright? Is everyone treating you well?"
She sighed and walked towards the bed, sitting on it. "Not everyone, but I'm still fine," she said.
Steve stretched out on the bed next to her and crossed his legs, He asked "Have you had breakfast? I don't think you had" looking at her. Then he put a bag on her lap and lay down on the bed, legs swinging down. "It's not healthy for breakfast, but still eat it. There's some candy and chocolates in there. I put a little magic on them so they won't melt," he said.
She opened the bag and found a paper bag. She immediately knew he brought a hamburger for her. "Finish it after that I have to do something with you, so creatures aren't able to notice you and you will be safe," he said.
'Thank you," she said as she started to eat.
"No need to thank me," Steve said. "Just make sure you're safe." Mira nodded and enjoyed the rest of her meal. She finished the hamburger and
stayed quiet for a few minutes trying to process the sudden turn of events, nervously fidgeting with the things in the bag. Eventually, she spoke up, "You don't have to do all this."
Steve sat up and put his hand on her shoulders. "I do. You need someone to look after you, you are too weak Mira" He smiled at her, his intense black eyes, now somewhat more serious. "Don't worry. I'll keep you safe."
Mira shook her head in disbelief
"Enough talking, We need to get started with the spell before it's too late." Mira took a deep breath and nodded. She closed her eyes as Steve began to cast the spell. She felt a warmth spreading throughout her body and a pleasant tingling sensation. She felt safer and calmer as the spell was being cast. After that, Steve embraced Mira and kissed her forehead. He said, "You're all set, You will be alright now. I won't let anything bad happen to you."
Mira looked at him with curiosity. "What kind of spell is that?"
"It's a mix of finomina and my own essence," Steve replied. "If you cross any creature like those by any chance you made eye contact with them, they will get confused by your smell, that's why I kissed you on the forehead."
Realizing the power the spell had, Mira was filled with admiration for Steve. She wondered how he had managed to become so powerful.
"Why don't they attack you like they did to me?" She asked.
"Because I am stronger," he replied simply.
Mira nodded, understanding. "Now everything is done here, so I am leaving," he said and disappeared with red and black smoke.

After Steve left Mira read a book that she brought with her and fell asleep reading it When her eyes opened she noticed from the window sky had already got dark She checked the time from his hand watch the she walked downstairs. In the dining room, she noticed Harry and others talking with each other
"I hope I can get dinner," Mira said sarcastically to everyone as she walked toward them.
Ron mumbled "I just forgot about her", Harry turned his head to look at her, and she smiled when she noticed him looking at her smiled at him and said happily "I'm happy to see"
He said in a low voice "Me too" then turned to look at others, Sirius cleared his throat giving Harry a look, and Mira took an empty chair to sit on.
"Harry she came last night with Dumbledore," Sirius informed him, "Dementor also spotted out of her house"
The topic changed and the conversation went on in which Mira didn't say anything, suddenly Harry clapped his hand "What's up?" Hermione said, looking alarmed. "Scar," Harry mumbled. "But it's nothing... It happens all the time now..." Mira looked at Harry with concerned eyes, then she turned to look at Lupin and asked "When is Dumbledore going to arrive?"
Ron said happily, "I bet Dumbledore turns up this evening to celebrate with us, you know."
"I don't think he'll be able to, Ron," said Mrs. Weasley, setting a huge plate of roast chicken down in front of Harry. "He's really very busy at the moment."
"Busy!" Mira muttered to herself. With sighed and looked down at her hands in her lap But every eye stared at her disappointed expression.
"Is something you want to talk about with Dumbledore?" Sirius asked sipping from his cup. Mira looked at him and said, "No, I'm just asking if he is coming or not?" She felt something strange with his gaze she awkwardly looked away from him.
"Mira" he called her name she again looked at him "Yes?" She said.
"Your smell it's different from the morning," he said eyeing her, "my smell?" She questioned looking at him, Lupin cleared his throat trying to ease the weird atmosphere created by just one question "Don't smell people Padfoot" he said in a joking tone but nothing changed, Mira shook her head, and said "I bath with a different body wash"
"I see," Sirius said and turned his eyes away from her. She couldn't help but feel like he knew something she'd been trying to hide.
