Leah's POV

Thursday 8:00 PM

"Girl your food is a hit, everyone loves it," Roxanne says as she runs up to me.

"They better because my man not talking to me because I chose to come," I say and pout.

"Lawd Jubba soon come outta him feelings man but I'm happy you came, you saved my little reputation," she says and laughs.

"You did great, I'm proud of you," I genuinely tell her, and she grins.

"Alright yuh think mi can start pack up yah now?" I question because I really want to go home to Jubba.

"Maybe another hour, some people haven't eaten as yet," she answers, and I die a little inside.

"Alright hon but after that, I'm leaving," I tell her, and she nods.

"Cool," she agrees and heads back into the hall.

"Lee stop worry yuh self," Wilson whispers in my ear and I sigh.

"He's pissed Wilson, he didn't even eat the breakfast I made," I share and he laughs.

"Him just worried about you, him soon come round man," he says and I hope he's right.

I don't like going up against him because I know he only wants the best for me but I really wanted to help out Roxanne just as how she has helped me out many times before. This event will go towards her final grade, and I too will get credit for participation. We all must play a part in someone else's project but no matter what I said Jubba wouldn't listen.

"Lee, yuh lef some a dis at home right?" Junior asks making me laugh for the first time tonight.

"Mi know a miss yuh miss mi enuh," I say to him.

"Den no must, dah fast-food living here is not for me, mi well out a shape," he states and I roll my eyes because Junior's body is on fleek.

"Shut up bout out a shape, tell yuh boss fi move yuh back pon d base," I say.

"No, mi good, mi trigger finger a get likkle exercise," he laughs and I roll my eyes.

"Yuh just love show off," Wilson kisses his teeth and I shake my head because this is my life.

"So Lee mi cyaan understand how yuh nah show no interest inna d ting. Yuh deh wid one a d baddest fi ever touch road, yuh best fren a star girl and yuh just no business so?" Junior asks and I shrug.

"Jordon did show me how to use it but mi prefer fi use mi free time and cook," I confess and they both shake their heads in disappointment.

"Hey bwoi Wilson, yuh tink yuh deh yah fi yuh looks, give Lee some lessons man," Junior says to Wilson who gives him the middle finger.

"Lee no interested, maybe Blake can get her interested," he suggests.

"Blake cyaan lef Shan side fi a minute, mek d Boss dem try dat and see wah Shan do," Junior states and I laugh because it's true.

Jubba's POV

Thursday 8:45 PM

I walk out of the supermarket feeling good, I can finally say that everything is ready for the grand opening. Jess has been a great help in Shan's absence and even though she talked my ears off about her plans, they made sense. She left several hours ago because I didn't want her on the road too late even though she has a personal guard.

She has finally left her job and is currently doing her own event planning business. I know for sure that she's going to make a dent in Omar's bank account when she starts planning their wedding.
